i'm getting an amateur boxing license soon. I was just wondering, what is the whole situation with getting into fights (non boxing) once you have one. I've heard many different things but i don't know what's true and what's not. How's it work in terms of penalties and charges and all that.

Did someone tell you this? A pro fighter can be charged with assault with a deadly weapon. I've never heard of anything about AM fighters.
Most likely the penalties would be something like losing your license, or being banned from competition. The rules of conduct.

there are no tests. just fill out your app, pay your fee, and thats that. and am license/book, same thing. and having it should have no bearing on what you get charged with if you get into a street fight. you're not a pro.

A cop grabbed me from behind and started holding me.. so I figured it was one of the dudes jumping me.. so i grabbed his head opunched a few times and flipped him over.. and then i found out it was a cop... I know better than to hit a cop.. but i didnt know it was a cop so really not my fault.. but they wasn't trying to hear that **** in court so i got 2 1/2 years Proba. and 200 hours community service for no ****in reason if you think about it... ****ed my summer all up.

Hey everyone i started boxing 2 months ago, i know its too early to ask about these things but i'm really confused and don't know who to ask i currently live in the middle east (Jordan) and we don't do lots of boxing here but we have an Olympics center for boxing so my first question is that 1- like how or when do fights start to count and what should i get specifically to that now i'm called an Amateur fighter is it the normal boxing license or a book that all my fights count in it which i have no idea where to get it from, my point is that what should i register in or do to make me an amateur fighter rather than the hard training and all that. My second question is 2- what are the steps to being an amateur boxer or is there a couple of different licenses or is it just one license. I would appreciate anyone who reads it all and answer me i know they're not direct questions but i need help because i feel confused and lost a little bit.

                    Much appreciated
