    Breathing

I'd like to say im a pretty fit boxer. I can have alot of fear but whenever the fight has started and is a few punches in theres no room for fear but im having trouble breathing in the ring and sometimes outside when im getting tired, when i say having trouble breathing i mean feeling sick. I was sparring the other night with someone i knew and wasnt scared at all but i was feeling sick when i was getting tired. If i ever sprint any length of distance i feel sick. sometimes even when im just sitting there it feels as if theres something in my throat making me feel sick. Is this something i should go to the Doctor about, maybe my tonsils are needing removed or something but its something i need fixed. Has anyone here ver had that problem or know how to fix it?

You're probably holding your breath when your punching and moving.

Every time you throw a punch, breathe out. And everytime your opponent trys landing, throw a punch so you don't get winded.

Its probly just a lack of endurance, you should try to work on your conditioning, I've had the same feeling, just work on it and pace yourself..

I took a buddy of mine who drinks and smokes, never works out, to the Gym, I had him hit the bag for 30 secs with full power and speed, he told me he was feeling sick, I kept on telling him, push it dont be a *****, after that 30 seconds was up, he went to the garbage can and threw up..

boxing is not only tech but also condition to excute you things if you are not fast enough strong enough or have the stamina to contuine in the last min it so you gotta work it out on it. because the last min of training is the most important part because you are pushing yourself in extend and challeging you limits and the next day you limit will raise up intell you become really good that only raise abit

I'm not a boxer, but I would have to say you need to get in shape and like someone else said you need to relax and try and control your breathing and kind of swallow it and push it back down. I'm badly out of shape right now and that's what happens when I have to run fast and for a long period of time, I can feel the vomit coming up. The same thing used to happen to all the out of shape runners at track practice.

You might want to do more of your workouts with your mouthguard in. They make it harder to breath so its good to be used to it... especially if you're having this trouble. The double mouthguards are even harder to breath with.

I don't wear a mouthguard anymore in sparring lol, and ive a plan that the second i get hit in a fight where i have to wear a mouthguard im gona let it come out so i dont have to wear the wee ****er.
