If you already beat him when he was wasnt mad, you will destroy him when he is.

If you really want to piss him off, when he asks you to spar, answer with "Maybe when you improve a bit."

If you do it infront of people, he will be embarased, and most likely say something like "whats the matter, you scared?" to wich you should reply "nope, its just not my job to babysit you through training."

If he gets really mad, give him some constructive criticism.

Say "I'll spar with you next week if you work on your jab and footwork."
Then say "Maybe if I have some time later, I will help you work on developing some power in your right hand"

That should really piss him off since he seems to think his right hand is his money punch, (it might look scary its probably not very powerful)

Then if he actualy agrees, he wont be an ass to you anymore and will pick sombody else to mess with, and if he doesnt. Well, he will be throughly embarased and feel about an inch tall.

You shouldnt be scared of anybody in the gym, and dont worry about punches getting close, just as long as they miss.

If he has been boxing for 2 years and is still sloppy, you will do better against him next time you spar. Remember, you will only get better, while most likely he will become more frustrated and less dangerous in the ring.

Just recently I have started full on sparring. I actually went three rounds with another guy who is supposed to be some kind of Tae Kwan Do expert. He is only there to spar. He told the guys who run the gym he doesn't need to learn anything, he just wants to spar.

Me, on the other hand, have been heeding every piece of information my trainer gives me. I had sparred with my trainer several times and learned some of the mistakes like backing up, dropping my right, foot work, angles, etc. I got tagged by my trainer several times but it helped me learn and he finally thought it was okay for me to fight another guy.

So I was a little nervous as this Tae Kwon Do guy struts around the gym and looks like he knows what he's doing. However, what happened was, I was able to score at will. Every time I jabbed twice he would back up and I was able to keep going forward. I landed a left hook which then he was paranoid about so I was able to fake left hook and use the right at will also. It was a huge confidence builder. I think my trainer was actually using me to prove a point to this guy. The point being, you have to learn the art. You can't just go in and spar. Basically I have been doing it for two months and I was able to outbox him becasue I have been training and listening. So I'm sold. Train hard, listen, and execute.

I've since been sparring with my trainer and he has been getting more aggressive with me to bring me along but I think its for the better. I still can't get over how grueling training and sparring is but I have never felt better in my life.

      Good stuff man. Its inspiring.

Myself. I actually intended to start in January, went in for a class and it kicked my ass, so I figured that I'd better get in better shape to at least be able to keep up. So that's pretty much what I've been into for the past 2 months. Went down from 194 to 175, and pretty much been stuck there for the past 2 weeks...so I figure theres no better time than now to get back into the class.

Its also normal to feel body punchs. Most people that dont box dont realize how painful bodypunches are. I for one, took a knee the first time I got hit in the body. It was a jab to the solar plexus. It hurt alot more than I expected it to, but you know what I did? More body work. Eventualy you get use to it to some degree. It will always hurt, but you will learn to work through it. I personaly find body punches alot more painful than head punches, but id still rather take a beating to the body than to the head.

Lol that's funny but im not sure that's the best advice for him. They may stirr up vibes/hatred, which isnt needed in the gym.

Dont say it like you are being mean, just say it like a matter of fact. Like you are trying to be help full. You want to come across as "sorry, but you just arnt on my level right now, but I will help you get there"

Today was good. I felt real good today. I did six 3 minute rounds on the bag, some ab work, defensive drills, and am going to a gym to do some cardio soon.

The weight isnt dropping as fast as Id like, but Im getting in much better shape. I feel better when I workout.

For me, I havent been training that much lately mostly because everytime I get motivated and ready to compete they end up canceling the tourney.. So that gives me the "**** it" attitude

Ima take this week off, then try to get back into it next week
I can relate to that. Same **** always happens to me homey. Either that or I'll show up and they can't match me with anybody.
