Actually, bodyweight is pretty deceiving. If you're working hard and eating a high-protein diet, you could easily build muscle while losing fat, which will keep your weight pretty much the same -- or even increase it! A digital camera is your friend, here. Snap a pic every 2 weeks and compare. A tape measure is good, too. Measure your waist every week. I could tell I was losing weight b/c I hit the last notch on all my belts and had to go buy new ones!

Cool...thanks bro. Simple yet effective. I have noticed that I'm down to the last notch in the belt, and its not snug anymore !

      Need to snap some flicks...

Like everyone else has said man, don't get caught up in the numbers. My brother is like 140 pounds, but he's just in terrible shape, another friend of mine of almost equal height is 180 and in great shape. If you're working as hard as you say you are, I doubt you're in bad shape man. That being said, it is natural for your body to stall its weight loss for a week or two, changing up the routine will help, but after this, your progess is going to be slower.

You mentioned you were healthier at 150 back in the day, I don't know how old you are, but there is a big difference between 150 at 17 and 150 at 23 for example. You might think you're all grown up or whatever at 17, but trust me you're not, a lot of your bones aren't where they will be, not will they be at that size, usually not even until 25 (for a man). As long as you're training hard, your ideal weight will come man, at your body decides that, not your brain.

        Peace,
        Trick

An addendum: get down to where you're looking good and moving well in the ring, then check out your weight. After you've been boxing for awhile, you will know your ideal weight class. And it will change every few years as your body matures. I walk around at about 172-173; I can make Middleweight if I have to but I've got some leeway to bulk up for a Light Heavy match -- I'm scheduled for a match in June at Light Heavyweight and I'm changing up my training and nutrition routine to add 3-4 lbs. of muscle over the next few months.

EDIT: Sorry, Trick, I didn't see your post, above. Get outta my head, man.

Haha, we always seem to be giving the same advice

Anyways, no prob man, just work at it, it'll all come in time. I could weigh 135 or 175, depending on how much and how I workout, and what I eat. If I really wanted to impress the ladies or something I could force myself to gain weight and get big ass biceps or whatever, but I wouldn't be at my optimal weight which is between 153-160 for me at this point. You can force your body up or down to a pretty suprising degree, but just because you can get to 150 doesn't mean you should be there. Just keep trainin' hard man.

              Peace,

^ Hahaha...yeah, that was actually part of the whole problem. I'd toke and eat about 5 days worth of food.

It happens to everyone. When I was into lifting I started eating well and was pretty ripped out for my size. When you change your diet and start to workout you loose weight fast and fat, but then after about a month or so it slows down.
