I couldnt fall asleep until 3 then when I woke up at 7 to do my roadwork, I fell back asleep before I could even roll over to get out of bed. Then I slept in past my class because I didnt reset my alarm.
Bad way to start the week.

There are any number of explanations for disrupted sleep patterns. Is there any chance that you could see a physician who specializes in sports medicine?
In my experience with young boxers disrupted sleep patterns usually come about from two problems, either over-training or under-scheduling. The body can only take a limited amount of training so it is silly to push too hard. Excessive training can not only result in physical injuries and exhaustion, but weird psychological problems. Today most people are ware of the dangers of over-training, but there isn't the same awareness of under-scheduling. To get maximum efficiency from training it should be done on a regular daily (and weekly) schedule. Not only training, but meals, rest periods and sleeping should be scheduled. This may not sound too exciting, but it has been proven long ago that scheduling produces better results. The body's metabolism likes to work in predictable patterns, and scheduling makes it more efficient.
Force yourself into a schedule, after awhile it will just become a routine.

I have trouble sleeping too. Sometimes I dont fall asleep til 12:30 and then wake up at 2 then 3 then 4 then 6 then 7 to go to school. No matter what I do i will get hardly any sleep. I drank warm milk, didn't work. I pushed harder in my workouts, and I got tired, but couldn't sleep. I took days off of working out, couldn't sleep. I stayed consistent with a schedule, and its been working, but in a different way. I still can't sleep, but I feel better with being on a consistent schedule. I am very sleepy during the day, but come time to box I get pumped and I get a very good workout. There are certain things to do if you want to sleep more and workout better. If you want to sleep more, you shouldn't workout everyday. **** what anybody else says, you want to listen to your body. If you feel tired, don't work out. But don't be too inconsistent either. I mean don't workout for a day or two, not until you feel better. People will say "You need to workout daily" but how can you workout daily if you can barely stay awake standing up? just rest. To workout better, you have to say **** it, no matter how tired you are, give it your best. Even if you got an hour of sleep, if you really want to, you can work out good. Willpower overcomes physical power.
The only reason I can think of why you can't sleep good, is stress. And if you take days of workingout off, and don't get a good workout, then deep inside you truly don't want it.

Not to be rude or anything, but how do you know what another man wants deep down inside? Stress is everywhere, some are harder than others. Everyone is different my friend, taking a off a day or 2 from working out doesn't mean you truly don't want it, it means you need a break lol.

No i dont mean taking a day or two off to rest, but looking for excuses to take a day off and not go to the gym. But i'm just saying that people who truly want it, will make excuses to go to the gym, even when they're tired, hurting, etc. Because if you think about it, if you really wanted, you would go no matter what, I've never heard anyone say, "Damn i really wanted to go but I was just too tired." But that's just me and about a hundred other people I know. So don't get offended, this is just my opinion, Im not saying I really do KNOW what another man wants deep down inside, just what I THINK he wants. You're entitled to your own opinion too.
