i have the everlast pro training gloves (http://store.titleboxing.com/titlebo...ig-gloves.html) in 16oz, had them for about a week now. everytime i use them, i get pain near my thumb:

it probably needs more time to break in. it's also kind of hard to make a fist in those.

i also have the title platinum training gloves (http://store.titleboxing.com/platinu...ng-gloves.html) in 16oz, they're excellent. i can make a fist in them easily, and i dont get that thumb pain when using them. the striking surface is very soft, too.

When I bought the Everlast Pro gloves, the Gel gloves weren't on the market, yet. They're very new. If the Gel gear had come out a year earlier, I'd have Gel everything right now. I like the Gel technology that much.

The Gel gloves are heavier, but they are weighted so you can get whatever weight you want. I like a heavy bag glove, and I liked hitting people with them for the first week or so until I realized how huge a difference there is between a 20 oz. and a 16-oz. glove. The Everlast 16's are bigger and faster. For combat, you can't beat that.
