I was at the gym today, I had already been there about 2 hours and was pretty much done. I sat down on a chair and was about to unwrap my hands when I see this guy Ive been thinkin about askin to spar, in the ring warming up. I was thinking to my self if I should maybe ask him for some sparring so I can finally get some in.
Then (I had been sitting for about 5 seconds) all of a sudden this guy who has been training kids in the gym the past few weeks comes up to me and says "What are you doing?" I was kinda caught off guard cause I was watching the guy in the ring and I thought this guy was joking so I said "What?". This guy is still approaching me and kinda shrugs with his arms out and says again "WHat are you doing?" and has a pissed off look on his face. I said "unwrapping my hands." he says "What?!" I say "Takin my wraps off.". He is now almost infront off me now and says "You done?" I said "Yeah" and he kinda laughs and says "Oh, I thought you were just getting started". SO Im thinkin wait a minute, I dont know who this ******* is but he aint gonna come talk **** to me, **** that if he wants a problem hes got it. SO I stand up from the chair and we are now pretty much face to face and IM ready for whatever goes down. I look at him and say "What do you mean?" He asks "What time did you get here?" I said "Like 4" (it was almost 6) then he smirks again like Im lieing and says "I got here at 4" right now Im like what the **** is this dudes problem, Im definatly gonna have to do somethin to this fool.
Im really gettin pissed off at this ******* and tell him "Naw man, Ive been here for like two hours!". Then, he seemed to just immediatly mellow out and said "Oh, I didnt know. I thought you were just starting, but you are wet though so you must got a good workout." then he said something about how he doesnt like people that sit here pretend to be working or wait for one of the bells, I couldnt really understand him. he starts askin me if Im dominican and I said no mexican and portugese he says theyre good people and he asks me my name and I tell him, he sticks his hand out for a handshake and says "Im Merqui Sosa." Im thinkin HOLY ****!!!, I said "You used to fight." or something then I started talking to him and asking him how much he charges to train and stuff, now I might have him train me. He said he'll do it for $75 a month.
