  • What workouts should I be doing for a career in boxing?

    What muscles do you use in boxing, and what are some techniques I can use to strengthen them? Thanks.

            Pushups, pullups, chinups, situps, crunches and running.
            YOu are like 14, right?

              learn skills and technique first, worry about muscles later.

                Go to a gym. You can run, but even then you wont be prepared for what you will go through at first.

                Example: Yesterday a kid came into the gym, said he was in great shape, runs, plays ball, etc. My coach told him to hit the bag for one 3 minute round and when the bell sounded he could barely even stand. He almost passed out, he was so tired.

                    If you just started out then you should put emphasis on technique and conditioning.
