  • how to get inside without worrying about gettin nailed with a straight punch?

this is a big fear I got when sparring, I'm always pretty wary about getting on the inside and attacking the body, cuz of the other guys power hand. Any advice how to avoid getting hit cleanly when heading in and going for the body??

keep your head tucked in, hands up, and just act on instinct for the most part.

keep moving your head, it's hard to hit a moving target clean

i just move my head side to side with my hands in a tight open handed guard, if i get cought with a hook or right hand its fine because my guard is always up. Havn't been in with someone good enough to counter over top of my punch before i land mine... U gotta throw punches in boxing and naturally u will get hit its just part of the game.

slip the straight right and then counter it with a left hook to the head or the body.

but alway keep moving you head if you are more of a boxer with your hand to confuse him make as a circule and x with your jabbing hand that way you have time to think and he is confused on what to do

Are you agreeing with me, or did you misunderstand my post??
I said circle in, away from his strong hand. So I'm confused if you are agreeing or disagreeing with me.
