Vers is a gifted kid who has worked hard and so has a chance. But there are too many x-factors for anyone to guess.
yeah I have admitted some of them werent top notch. but(not to compare myself, just a name thats known) ppl would say in tysons prime he didnt fight ne1 cause he beat them so easily. no matter how much u can box and how many years and titles and foot work u have.once u get hit and get hurt?most of the ****s out the window and the game plan is changed.

as tyson has once said."every1 has a plan, until there hit"

This is like the 3rd time You've made this THREAD nelson....

Your boy is good.. but the kid---------

      1. have a trainer...
      2. Doesn't have any sparring partners to push him...

He watches videos to learn how to box...

On top of watching videos... its of Mike Tyson.

I would not incourage watching videos "ALONE" to learn the science that because unless he has a promoter to keep him away from anyone with a jab and uppercut that style will be taken advantage of.

The guy looks good against the level of sparring opponents he has at his disposal but thats all....

Nothing against the dude but these useless threads do nothing but fill in confidence gaps for him that should only be filled by results in the ring and a GOOD trainers words.

Regardless of all that.. No Hate... GOOD LUCK

I think he's doing some training with Jesse james Leija. Jesse will make sure he is sparring against higher quality opposition. Bottom line is the kid is pursuing his dream all the best to him. No matter what your field it's nice to eventually get paid to do something that you love.

Where am I showing any hate? Saying someone's opposition isn't great means I hate on him? Please man don't just assume stuff here and there...
I respect him a lot for posting his sparring sessions, I wish more people did that.
I can't post my vids since they're on VCR, if you know a way that I can post VCR vids in the net, please let me know, I'll be more than happy to show you...

I wont ever underestimate some1s skill if i havnt seen them in person.
180 is a pretty good weight. I'm 6'4 and 198lbs. I've had weight gaining problems before but I fixed that later on. I used a primitive diet though, I just ate anything that was in front of me to gain weight. That's how I was taught before. Does your trainer recomend nutrition for you or do you do that on your own? How much you eat a day?

                  bahhh all this is ******

professionals could have the worst technique but its about whose tough

jorge arce, and jose luis zertuche came by our club and workouted

(our club is near the honda center where they fought hte folowing weekend)

and their technique isnt that great...what makes a fighter is their toughness

you cna no how to throw a punch, but its if you can get hit with 10 oz glvoes and still throw your own punches...

im not saying he wont make it..im just syaing noone knows

you cant make a prediction whatever happenes happens

Can he make it big? I dunno, who could possibly know? He has only had one amateur fight at this point. Could he even possibly know? That is why this thread is so ******, nobody can possibly know at this point. Anything is possible. This is an extremely difficult sport, and there are a lot of good fighters out there. I don't think it is really fair to be making this thread because it is an impossible question to answer based on some video of an amateur fight and some sparring sessions.
