  • I just realized how huge I am....!!

so, I watch boxing but I never really had the time to follow it like that and now since Im taking it up as a hobby, way to stay in shape Im delving deeping into the sport. and just reading some of the posts on this board it seems to me like IM waaaaaaayy to big for my height.

5'6'', 168 lbs. ive been the same height since I was like 15/16 but back then I was like 140 lbs. Ive slowly gone up in weight over the years.

since its only gonna be a hobby is the weight/height thing gonna be a fight for any amateur, king of the ring fights I might participate in in the future.

funny thing is I still look like what I am...a lil man....hell even women call me little guy..

on second thought, I dont care. Im going to stay the same weight regardless. drop your opinions anyway.

They measured Tyson on HBO and he was exactly 5'11, although he looks shorter cos of his broadness and heavy build.
And if your a stocky fighter you should use it to your advantage. 5'6" us very short for 168lbs but if you fight from a crouch, keep your chin tucked, keep ya guard high and work on getting in close - you can become a very effective inside fighter.

Tyson was 5"10 and basically a biologically-well created animal.

200lbs of muscle at age 13. A genetic freak. But he used it to his advantage.

I never intentionally gained weight if anything I have been trying to lose it. I did try to gain over the summer though. 167/168 is fine but anything over 170 and my breathing goes outta wack.

when I started skipping rope and upping the workout routine for boxing I thought I would lose weight...never happened...my body just adjusted. oh well.
