So, Whats the hardest part about learning how to box
Ima have to say just learning the basic manuevers, I just started, Im trying to get the fundamentals down pat cuz you know how important fundamentals are...for anything.
The mental side of sparring for me...I get in there and its just so hard to think, and when I get hard (body shots are the worst) I keep going for the rest of round I don't wanna go another round....It comes with time I guess. I've been going to the gym for over two months now and i've sparred about 5 times.
I find it's drive. In boxing you really gotta push yourself. On the bag for example. Doing pushups for example. You really gotta be able to develop explosive power while tired. And that takes balls. Also, as that takes balls, I find that really pushing yourself helps your "heart" as it's come to be known
Well first the hardest is gunna vary from person to person...But I think the harest part is doing a good slip....Your supposed to be able to slip a punch but keep your eyes on your opponent, not an easy thing to do at all...
For me, it was overcoming the monkey-fear that kicks in when I take a heavy punch. To stay calm and breathe, and keep strategizing, when you can taste your own blood and you see stars out of one eye.
Explaining black eyes and weird dietary choices gets old, too.
