What injuries are you currently nursing?

This is a thread to post all of your little bumps and bruises and injuries and such, and explain how you got them if you would like. Also, tell what you are doing about your injury if anything.

    I have:

    1) Runner's knee (left knee) - It's just something you get from running a lot, cycling a lot, etc. You have a little bump below the kneecap if you have this, and it's sore when you press on it the right way. Right now I have it wrapped in plastic wrap with an icepak. Jumping rope is another thing that aggravates it.

    2) Partially torn shoulder tendon? (left shoulder) - This is from throwing so many hard left hooks I would imagine. I hear a faint ripping sound in my shoulder often, and it's hard to hold up my left arm while training because it is weakened by whatever this injury is (not sure EXACTLY what it is which is why I put the question mark).

Other than that I am pretty good right now.

        a possibly broken right hand.

I have a canvas bag filled with sand and three bricks, Ive hit for years and never had a problem. About month ago I caught it wrong and hit right on the edge of a brick and a shockwave of pain went through my hand. It has hurt since then and I dont have insurance to have it looked at.

I've been there squabbs. You should hit the ER, and at least don't do any boxing of any sort for 2 months.

How much time do you have?

You're talking to a guy who rode his bicycle off the roof of his house when he was ten. I've broken probably everything at one time or another.

Right now I've just got residual crap from a back/rib injury: torn cartilage in my sternum that still smarts when I push on it, reduced range of motion in my jab arm, lost flexibility and 12-15 extra pounds from 5 weeks of inactivity.

I've got some kinda nerve thing in my left foot that comes and goes, a split left toenail (dropped a knife point-down on it when I was a kid, split it right down to the bone) that grows in a V so it catches on my sock and tears and bleeds regularly, and on my other foot I've got two broken toes that, if I step wrong, bend backwards and lock out of joint; I have to take my shoe and sock off and yank them back into place. Last year I had a piece of meniscus the size of a lima bean carved out of my left knee, and it still stiffens up occasionally. I've got knots of scar tissue in my back and neck from a car wreck about fifteen years ago. What else. . . . recurring stress fracture in my right foot, and I'm about 40% deaf in my right ear.

Old age is not for *******.

I'm 36. But it's not the years. It's the mileage.
