You need 2 -3 hours of solid sleep, not just cat naps. And you need at least 7 hours sleep total. Don't drink caffeine drinks (cola, coffee, tea, etc)after lunch. Eat several hours before going to sleep; otherwise your guts (the intestines are smooth muscle) will be working all night long. Avoid sweets in the daytime (they cause sugar rushes and then a depression) and fats in the evening (they'll cause heartburn, which will wake you up). Work out a few hours before going to sleep. Everyone is different and you will learn all the tricks that pertain to you with time. Of course, many drugs will keep you up, so don't use *******, meth, or tobacco.
