i once seen in Muscle&Fitness magazine the training of some famous football player amercain one.

I notice his traing as long and only twi a week as well as instead of lifting 10 hard i think they do 20 medium and fast something like that. Thay way it develops speed and stamina.

You will get more benefit from controlled, form-intensive reps on compound lifts -- squat, deadlift, and clean -- than from any isolation exercises; provided, of course, that you don't have some congenital weakness that you need to train with a specific lift to overcome.

Compound lifts train your body to use many sets of muscles in concert, which is what boxing is all about. Big biceps or ripped abs will not make you a better boxer. However, conditioning your body to deliver coordinated, explosive movements with 10, 15, or even 20+ muscles simultaneously, WILL make you a better boxer. You will move better, you will hit better.

Dump the curls, the bench, the leg raises, & the lat pulls. Do big Olympic lifts, with moderate weights, and a lot of them. When I'm boxing, I spend 60-90 minutes in the gym every night doing 6-8 SETS of either squats, deadlifts, or cleans, 3 times a week, one exercise per night. I'm boxing the other days, and running stairs every day.
this sounds really good. add plyometerics to this and u're gonna be strong and explosive

He is something i got in my mind:
" unorthodox training gives you unorthodox.'

you could try training using kettlbells and cluecubs and swiming..etc.

anything new in boxing chould you and exercise it alway good for you body if it is done smartly

It means you have no pecs; if you were to take your shirt off, your sternum would be slightly concave. Napoleon Dynamite had a spoon chest. So do the guys in Weezer.

A friend of my wife's has it, too; he's one of these emo artsy Christian rock guys -- who's actually pretty successful, he plays some big concerts and is making good money; for Christmas last year I bought him a T-shirt that says CHICKS DIG SCRAWNY PALE GUYS.

I do plyometrics at my boxing gym, on the nights when I'm not lifting.

Two more weeks, and I can get back to the gym, my doctor says. Woo-HOO!

Uh, pushups shouldn't be taking your speed away.. and they really shouldn't be adding that much to your strength after you can do about 30 repetively. If you can do more than 30 of one type of pushup you're supposed to switch them up and do other variations to work different parts of the arms/chest/back. If you don't, you just work your muscle endurance.. and as for the speed thing, that's simply not true. If you really honestly believe that you're becoming slower after pushups then either; 1) Stop. or 2) Explode on your pushups when you come up instead of just push.

                    thanks for answerin

Some people claim there is a "correct" way to train with weights. Who knows, it might even be true. Nevertheless, everybody in boxing is pumping iron and everybody is pumping themelves up with useless muscle. To make weight they have to dehydrate themselves. If you don't believe it, just watch HBO. Almost every time they post the weight gain on fight day. As you will recall Manny Pacquiao gained 14 pounds For a man who fights at 130, that was more than a 10% increase! If the boxing commissions had any sense of responsibility they would put a stop to this foolishness. The problem begins with weight training which is not "correct." Assuming, of course, there is such a thing as "correct' weight training.
