  • Alternatives to roadwork??

Any viable alternatives to roadwork which provide the benefits to cardiovascular endurance with none of the high-impact on the joints?? I had a condition in my left knee which I largely outgrew, and it doesn't normally give me any ****, but I just don't want it to start.

    Thanks and keep fighting.

Have you tried Elliptical trainers or the total body ski machines?

If you are looking for a low-impact workout that provides total-body conditioning, then elliptical cross-trainers can provides a smooth, natural stride, so you will get a workout that is similar to running with less impact on your knees.

          hmm

running on grass could help, less impact on the joints than if you ran on concrete. or those bike machines.

what about tredmill? that's what i use. 3-4 miles on that thing really gives a good workout.

I agree with Hard Chaw Elliptical machines are the way to go plus you can add resistance as needed. You may also looking into some joint supplements(some say they work, but you'll just have to try them out yourself). Punch out drill are good if done properly(technique). All out mad on the heavy bad devopes bad habits. Hope this helps and good luck man
