Props to Pacquiao fasho, Morales is a great and hopefully he retires realizing he's already at 30 years old given boxing fans all we'd ever wanted out of the sport.

The Pacman that fought Marquez is not even close to how he looks now. His right hand looks very good, and body work. He is even more relentless but a little less reckless and he has fully adjusted to the 130 pound weight class. I just rewatched the Marquez fight and with the knockdowns i scored it one 7 rounds to 5 for Pacman. It was close it could have gone either way but if they fight again i have no doubt Pacman will take Marquez out.Comment

mayweather can't lose????? Time will tell. Every dog has its day!!this is why its BOXING which is apparently taken in different terms, boxing is not a BRAWL, fine morales has balls blah blah , go fight in a ****ing underground fight club or the ufc....mayweather embodies everything boxing is and should be, its an art ! wut morales does with brawling is a mess, sure it shows his balls and toughness but it doesnt exhibit any boxing skill.....wutever, bottom line is, floyd is a masterful boxer that will never lose while morales is a tough balls brawling loser that will lose, u see mayweather kant lose because no one kan match his boxing skill/intellect, however any drunken street fighter kan engage in a deviant brawlComment

Pac Given Too Much Credit?
I dont want to take anything away from Pac as he is obviously a top 3 fighter but I think he is getting too much credit for these wins. When this fight was made I made a thread about how he's fighting these retread opponents and that he will kill Morales. Everyone is buying this as a big fight but anyone with eyes could see that Morales was shot. Did Morales beat Pac the 1st time? Yes. Did Morales get shutout by a averag guy in Raheem? Yes. Did he then get KO by Pac? Yes.
If anyone thought Morales was going to all of assudden be so great again after being KO & shutout in back to back fights then you are crazy. He was done. Pac gets all the props tonight but the truth is there are a ton of guys who wouldve owned Morales last night. A bunch of guys who couldnt even sniff EM's jock a couple of years ago would own him now. Thats why I said that I dont understand why people are giving Pac so much special credit for wanting to fight 2 guys he already KO. If that was any other fighter then people would be dissing him. Why does everyone keep overlooking that EM got shutout by Raheem? Do you guys know how big that is? When that happeneds then you are done. It was no fluke that Pac stopped him in either fight but he wouldnt have been the only guy that couldve done that.
Then he's making a big deal out of fighting MAB. He already KO him. I could see if MAB was calling for the fight but he's not and PAC keeps talking **** to him. Thats like Winky continuing to call Tito out or Floyd trying to fight Chico again. Everyone would be ripping those guys. Someone here made a thread about Floyd fighting Pac. Now that fight probally wouldnt be fair but its really no different then what Floyd is doing now. Big Poppa said that Pac cant fight at 140 because he's only 5'6. How tall is Floyd, but he's fighting at 154. Pac is much closer to Floyd's weight then Floyd is too Oscar, Winky, or even guys like Margarito's weight if you be real about it but yet everyone wants him to fight them and he's going to fight Oscar. As much as you want to spin it, Pac did weigh 144 last night while Floyd has came in at 146 for a 147 pound fight. What does that tell you about what Floyd is doing? He's fighting huge monsters. Now he's going to 154 and he has never even weighed that much in his life, let alone fighting a Oscar who will be probally nearly 170 in the ring.
Pac is truly great and is in the top 3 with Winky & Floyd but I think he's given too much credit for this fight. Also someone said that he beat 2 legends. He beat 2 legends who are good fighters but lets get real. There only super legends because there Mexican. There have other fighters out there right now who have also had a ton of big fights and have just as good resumes. Im not saying there not legengs but if you consider them that high then you have to give other fighters there credit too, like a Castillo, Casamayor, Chico, and other great fighters. They also werent in there prime like you guys tried to say. Morales clearly is not in his prime. He was at the end of his prime when he beat Pac. If you get shutout by Raheem then how are you in your prime? MAB is still winning but he is also not in his prime.Last edited by DLT; 11-19-2006, 11:22 AM.Comment

I agree with you man on most of it. Within 20 seconds of round 1 I couldnt believe the Morales I was seeing. He was slow, lethargic, his jab had no speed, there was no bounce in his feet. I am beginning to get really ****ed off with people saying Pacquiao destroyed Erik Morales without mentioning WHEN he destroyed him. Its like Barrera fighting Tapia and Kelley, they were done at the time. Did you see the first knockdown? When in your life have you ever seen Morales look at his corner with resignation as early as round 2? I think Morales knew fine rightly that his body could no longer do it. This was coupled with the fact that he is in with an animal who is so damn impressive and strong. People must not get carried away with this. AND I DONT GIVE A **** WHAT ANYONE SAYS, JMM BOXED THE ****IN BAKE OFF MANNY AFTER ROUND 1! EVER SINCE I SEEN THAT FIGHT I'VE BEEN SCEPTICAL ABOUT ALL THIS MANNY HYPE!Comment

The way Morales foght last night, I honestly think he could have hung with any other junior lightweight. Paquiao did what great fighters do to great fighters past their prime...he got him out of there.
Yes, he does deserve the credit.Comment

Done get me wrong, like Barrera did with kelley and tapia, he did what he had to do and he was exceptional. His conditioning is spectacular, his power is amazing and his chin is ****in great too. I think Pacquaio is absolutely brilliant and I love his fights. And I think he is P4P no.1 right now. Bt dont tell me he fought the real Morales. Morales would not have hung in there with any 130 pounder last night, that is baffling that you could say that. There is a difference between thinking Manny is great, like I do, and being reasonable and objective about what you seen. You need to have a sense of reality about these things. Morales was done, plain and simple. I'd be interested to know what you thought of the JMM and PAcman fight? How did you view the fight? Do you think round1 overrules all the other rounds?Comment

Not great? I just said he is easily a top 3 fighter. However, that doesnt make him God like some people are trying to say.
I just dont feel like Pac has changed all that much from the 1st Morales fight. The guy who has changed alot is Morales.Comment
