you're probably right with briggs. it's pretty obvious if briggs doesn't get mentioned. unless wlad's afraid to get knocked out. but king isn't valuev's promoter. he's just a clown "associate" of valuev here in the US. the only way valuev would allow king to make decisions for him is if he actually listens to what the fool has to say. surely valuev is smarter than that, but the fact that king is associated with him at all makes you kinda wonder.

The WBC, promoters, and fighters should all agree to grant the winner of Toney-Peter a shot against the winner of Klitschko-Maskaev. Hopefully for the fans sake, this best-case scenario pans out.

Will someone give this poster a 'crash course' in how options work. I haven't got the patience.

I doubt Toney or Peter will do that. Especially since Maskaev would be a much easier guy for either of them to beat, and then they could aim for a unification fight with Klitschko and have more money on the line. In reality, both Toney and Peter have been waiting since September, I don't see them waiting until next September.

There is no way this fight will happen unless the Big O has decided that he'll just cash in his chips.

My thoughts exactly, if the winner of Peter/Toney would not ***** about the unification, I think its quite possible.
This time I will actually root for toney to beat Peter, so in case Wlad wins, we can finally set the scores.

I think that BPP is right and that neither Peter nor Toney will sit by and let this happen yet interestingly the James Toney crowd have been silent on the subject of Wlad for a while. I can't believe that there is one objective fan who would rather either Toney or Peter with their recent records take on Maskaev over a unification for two belts.
There are a few fans for whom objectivity is a four letter word though.
As for Oleg, one wonders if he fancies going for gold and taking a crazy shot at glory. He may consider himself the best in the world and if so that would mean he would be better than Wlad too. Wlad also brings the bigger money so why not take the bigger payday with the bigger risk.
Bloody Hell, that sounds unlikely even to me.
                Isn't that sad?

I agree, Gotsev will make a huge stink out of this if WBC will ever allow this fight to take place. But, if the winner of Maskaev/Peter will become Klitschko's mandatory, the fight will be made automatically and let's face it, Toney or Peter will make twice as much fighting Klitschko. And there is always a possibility of Toney winning the fight and Peter's camp protesting the decision, which will result in the rubber match. In this case, WBC has to allow Maskaev another optional, it will make a perfect sense. I guess we'll just have to wait until December and find out, it's all in the air right now.

number one don king has the 2 other fighters ,,,and maskeav is a tougher fight than briggs. the briggs fight would be a 3 round joke. a heavy bag is harder to hit than briggs

If this comes off, it's the best thing to happen in the heavyweight division since Lewis retired......no, I'm not saying Lennox retiring was a "good thing"...just that the division's been in a quagmire since then and it's good to see to title-holders willing to prove they are the best.

                      Props to both sides.
