the only plus vitali had over wlad is durability. wlad has a better jab,,faster hands,,better foot speed and more 1 punch power. of course durability is very important so that one asset for vitali made him more dependable

wlad has shown an obvious tendancy to cut

i think eventually that will be how someone knocks him off

      call it a hunch....

his eye was puffing up against brock without any significant shots landing

I'm beginning to like Wlad more and more as I watch him. That is all.

If anything, it seems like Wlad is fighting more like Vitali did. More patient and more defensive.

Well he still doesn't have Vitali's attitude. Wlad looks cool at the stare-downs, but really the guy is all smiles.

Did you see Vitali even after the KO win of Brock, no smiles, WTF. Also in the inteview, no real smile, just seemed a bit disappointed and moody.

I wonder what Vitali was saying to Wlad in the corner.

Is there a problem with Vitali and Emanuel Steward?

EDIT: I should have said "as Brock was ducking and rushing in" sorry.
Wlad could of used the uppercut in that fight, especially since Brock tended to keep his hands high, but sometimes they were high and to far apart.

I wonder if Wlad could add body shots: Maybe stick the jab in his opponents face, but don't snap it, just stick it out there to blind the guy, then shoot a hook to the body.

They say tall fighters don't throw body shots that often, but what about George Foreman, he was 6'3 1/2, that is tall, and he did it a lot.

Yeah I agree, tall fighters can through uppercuts and body shots too, if they use them correctly. I basically meant that if Brock knew there could be an uppercut coming when he rushed in, he may have fought taller in that fight. So even if the punch was only hitting his guard, he would still be less likely to keep taking the chance of getting caught with it, and that would make it easier for Wlad to use his jab and right hand.

Vitali also had better reflexes I'd say and better upper body movement. He was really quick and athletic in how he leaned back, especially considering his height and weight. Watch the Kirk Johnson fight for a reminder.
