Baldomir got his shot because he was undefeated in almost a decade. He was looked at as a tune up, and dug deep and won. Nothing wrong with that.

Either way, he took advantage of his opportunity and became the man.

Toney was undefeated for longer at the weight, and held a belt. More deserving of a shot, wouldn't you agree? It's not really fair to hold that against him when comparing him to Baldomir.

The more important question is who do you think is the better fighter. Who would win between the 2 of them in your opinion? Most people would say Toney, he's better in just about every aspect of the game from what I've seen.

At the end of the day, Floyd took the better fight, and is taking an even better fight in his next fight.
