i can garuntee you that floyd is gonna take that away, DLH will be forced to beat him a different way because that left hook is gonna get taken away like a NFL Defense takes away a star wideout and makes you beat them a different way than what their strength would be. Its not exactly going to be an easy fight for neither of them, all this talk about a big KO punch is gonna be hard to come by. Both of them will be gameplanning to take away the others strentgh, the fight will be tougher to analyze because of the fact that mayweathers father will be in the opposing corner, so its hard to predict anything

I see a good fight happening.
What you have to remember is that the shoulder roll that floyd is so use to gives great protection for the right hands. That gives oscar that much of a chance to land a good left hook. The only punches that carlos landed were his left because floyd just rolled all the other punches. But the left of carlos did hit him once or twice.
And oscar has good speed at 154 who knows what floys speed is going to be at at this weight

My only concern is Floyd's speed at 154. He walks around at 150 so I doubt it could be really bad.

Floyd has been vulnerable to left hooks his entire career (because of his defense). Which is going to make this fight interesting. Still with that said, by no means can Oscar just go out there winging his left-hook because it isn't going to land, he's going to have to set it up wisely and sneaky.

With that said, I still see Floyd coasting to a UD. 116-112, 116-112, 115-113.

mayweathers defensive style (shoulder role) is susceptible to that punch. straight right hand left hook. means they role away from the right hand into the path of the left hook.

a quick heavyweight should catch toney with the same combination...but heavies aren't quick enough.

Good point. When you role you put your self in a position to eat left hooks, especially if DLH doubles them up (body and head).
Also, DLH has the better jab and has a good right cross also, plus he's the bigger and stronger man, doesn't need to rely on his left hooks. I see DLH beating Floyd UD.

Actually, I think Oscar's left hook, although powerful, can be detected by Floyd at this stage of Oscar's career...but, Oscar has 12 rounds, so Floyd will be getting hit by one of them since he seems to always get tagged by at least one every fight or so.

This is why I always said that Kostya Tszyu in his prime, could have a great shot at beating Mayweather: Kostya has a sneaky left hook, that is sharp, fast, accurate, and has the capability to stun you, leaving you hurt long enough for Mr. Thunder to land.

If you noticed in the Baldomir fight, Mayweather got tagged with the straight right, something Tszyu does well, and of course, Kostya's is much faster, powerful, and is sometimes hard to see because he sticks his left out to block your eye-site.

Tszyu also used to use a left uppercut when his opponent would leap in.

holyfield was catching toney with the left hook quite well in the first few rounds

mayweather doesnt come out the same every fight. because him and his uncle seem to gameplan so well for each fight, especially knowing what oscars strength is, i dont imagine floyd will simply come out knowing that he can be setup for that punch. if floyd came out with the same tendencies each fight, i can see that point, but he doesnt.

Mayweather sr. is the one who made PBF the fighter he is today. His unlce polished some of the skills Floyd already had. What's gonna make this an interesting bout is that May sr. knows every trick Floyd might pull in the ring to win the fight and then again, Floyd's corner know what May sr. is teaching Oscar to do.
