Not in the eyes of True boxing fans. He should have a loss on his record after fighting Castillo.

Lots of people (including HBO) try to size Mayweather up with an opponent like Castillo; people like Baldomir and Margarito. The problem is that the Mayweather-Castillo fight is in the past and Floyd has learned from his mistake. Floyd was able to dominate in the 2nd fight and he understands how to fight the brawler.

My point is that you shouldn't be looking for more brawlers that Mayweather can dodge and punch his way to a victory. You should be looking for a fast/accurate puncher to cut off Mayweather by using a hook to the jaw (the hook being just an example).
I agree, although my personal favorite is...Chop Chop Corley stunned Floyd, that means Margirito would knock him out!

I guess Harold and Jim Lampley should learn as well since they also had Castillo winning.

Besides, how many other fast fighters out there do you know that can compete on Mayweather's level?

I still think the key to defeat Floyd is a pressure fighter who will be willing to walk through Floyd's offense and break him down inside.
part of the fight is stamina a well as clear thinking. its a 12 round fight and condition is very important.

Mayweather is well conditioned to fight 12 round clear though and still has gas to fight.

I haven't seen the fight in a while, so I would have to see it again to make sure, but I do remember thinking it was close, but Mayweather pulled it out.

Mayweather has been battling injuries since the start of his pro career. I think even in one fight he was fined for using a cortisone shots prior to a fight.

I also think that when a perceived "Great" fighter has trouble in a fight vs the "underdog", if it is close, people will think and want to believe that the underdog won the fight. This happens all the time.
If you even look at Tyson's fights after his rep. was tarnished (after leaving Rooney), people would cheer for him, but as soon as the underdog fought back, they would root against Tyson and cheer the name of the underdog.

Also, If you want to put an "L" on Mayweather's record because of perception, then you should let others put an "L" on Tito's record for his loss to Oscar; Marciano's loss to LaStarza in their first fight; and many others.

Many true boxing fans consider Tito's fight against DLH a loss on Tito's record and that is fine. I consider PBF to have a loss on his record as well. I know what happened in that fight, and the W on paper can be decieving.

I knew that it was going to be a competitive fight, and did not think of anyone as an underdog, although many thought that Castillo just went in there to give away the title. Well, he showed up to fight as i suspected and I was certain that he had the victory. The problem was that PBF was supposed to win, so the judges made it that way.
