I lost all respect for him when he ducked Rahman(Rahman predicted he would drop out hurt over a month before he did). Loved what he did vs Lennox Lewis though.

Vitali was probably just disinterested and pissed off at his body breaking down with injuries. It's really no different to De La Hoya saying he's not fighting until 2007 because he needs to recoup from injuries. These guys have been in the game since they were boys. Klitschko was in kickboxing before he was a boxer, anyway.

Lennox Lewis in his prime would kill the Klitschkos, Lennox Lewis PAST his prime DID kill the Klitschkos, on 2 weeks notice no less.

In 2009 I would like to see Vitali fight a top ten contender who is 7 years younger, and 3 inches taller and see how he does against them. Untill he does that, I will continue to call him a cry baby.

vitali sucks ass his brother is far better than him, and to see him come back only to be injured yet again right before his fight so he doesnt need to actually fight is not what i want to see.

Vitali couldnt be knocked out or knocked down.

And he had skill and good power.


Cause the ****er was so tough I think he could stand with some of the heavy greats. I do not think that he is great or could beat the greats. But he had the conditioning and the chin to be in with the best, and the akward style to give trouble to anyone.

Agreed, in fact I think Vitali would actually fare better than Lewis would against many of the greats for these reasons. He accomplished less than Lewis, and was not as great of a fighter for this sole reason, but in head to head matchups Vitali Klitschko was a very dangerous fighter.
