If i remember correctly, Klitscho was actually forced to sign for the fight by the WBC as Rahman was the mandatory challenger, even though Klitscho had no desire to do so.
why would vitali be scared of a glorified journeyman who's whole career was made by one lucky punch?? vitali was injured, just accept it, no-one is scared of rahman.

I love how you think that Rahman now is the same as Rahman back then. This is before he lost to Maskaev and had some crappy performances, remember?

I havent read all the posts but where did it say Vitali is coming back? Maybe his knee wasnt that bad and he just wanted to lure Lennox out of retirement but now realizes Lennox aint coming back. He wants to be 2 time heavy champ along his brother.

I lost all respect for him when he ducked Rahman(Rahman predicted he would drop out hurt over a month before he did). Loved what he did vs Lennox Lewis though.
            hold on

he injures his leg sparring gets a written doctors note an even carries on training for a further 6days until he had no lateral movement an couldnt even move round the ring and he ducked him

oh an what did he do 2 lewis hit him with huge shots and proved lewis's chin was better than given credit for

you said he was forced 2 sign the contract that was only because he wanted a warm-up vs maskaev or brock before he fought rahman

SO I guess it s not fair when PAUL Williams fights? or DLH or Deigo Coralles or Lennox Lewis? dude I never use the word hater.. BUt you are at least a DISLIKER.. its ok you are allowed.. but the 1st step is admiting it..

The way Rahman was finished off by Maskaev in their second fight, any Rahman fan should be thrilled that Vitali retired due to injury and wound up not fighting Rahman. The beating that Rahman was certain to receive from Vitali might have ended Rahman's boxing career.

With the impending rematch between Toney and Peter on the horizon, neither one of those boxers will be getting any closer to fighting for the WBC belt in the near future. Which in turn sets up an interesting set of circumstance's. Maskaev is scheduled to fight Peter Okhello on December 12th. If Maskaev wins and Vitali decide's to unretire then the WBC is certain to mandate a fight between Vitali and Maskaev. Chance's are Vitali might take an easier fight before challenging again for the WBC belt just to test his health and skills but a match between Maskaev and Vitali should certainly make for some good headlines.

for those of you who think klitschko was afraid of being knocked out by rahman tell me one time klitschko was even wobbled? Lennox Lewis? nope, just cut? standing toe to toe with corrie sanders in the middle of the ring... nop.... but you really believe deep down he though hasim rahman, the guy who was KTFO'd twice by oleg maskaev who barely beat monte barrett and was never close to knocking him out was supposed to not only knock down vitali for the first time, but knock him out? ya right
vitali will come back in anotehr interview on the klitschko site he was asked if he missed boxing. in te past he'd say not so much i keep myself busy with other things etc. etc. but this time he said yes i miss boxing very much. Hes coming back to unify the division along with his brother.

Honestly, I would rather see a tune-up fight for Vitali and then a fight with the winner of Peter/Toney after that winner most probably defeats Maskaev. I would especially like to see Vitali kick the living **** out of Peter.
