It sounded like a Ruiz hugfest, oh well, another unimpressive win for Klitschko, who should have walked right through Brock. Again I am saddened by the lack of even "decent" command of the english language displayed by some posters. (see above post) Why not try to post a thought provoking response rather than throw insults? Schooling works, some of you should have given it a chance...

You see fight fans, some of you make the point that Brock offered NOTHING against Klitschko, and by that, you are making my point about Klitschko for me. You see, if Brock had nothing, and presented no threat to Klitschko, then why did it take the "awesome" Klitschko 7 rounds to dispatch of him? The answer is simple, he lacks the heart of a GREAT Champion. A truly GREAT Champion would have realized Brock was not a threat and would have and SHOULD HAVE jumped all over him and got him out within a round or 2 at most.

Klitschko offers little more than a "one - two" he is actually rather one dimensional in that aspect, get past the jab and he offers little else, and THAT does NOT equal a GREAT fighter in my eyes.

Ask yourself : If Klitschko were the SMALLER fighter in his bouts, how would his skill level match up against the others in the division? Do you REALLY think he would stand out? ------ I don't.

Actually, he has a good hook and uppercut, but Manny made him into pretty much a Lennox Lewis carbon copy. He can also flurry pretty damn good when he gets the chance. We all know what that does to his stamina though... heh

Brock has a funny defense and that's why I think it took so long for KO to crack him. Nothing from Calvin though, he's a damn good heavy weight, just not in league with the top contenders yet in my eyes. Then again who wouldn't have trouble fighting someone a half a foot taller with longer arms.

There two rounds that could have went Brock's way, but a 3-4 landed bodyshots that had no affect were not enough for me to give him the round when Klitschko controlled almost the entire round with a jab that landed more often. Brock fought at Klitschko's pace and never tried to let his hands fly.

Even with the cautious approach by both fighters in the early rounds, it was still more exciting than last week's fight that saw both men barely throw anything for almost twelve rounds.[/QUOTE

I was stuck at the office and didn't get to see the fight, hense I was depending on the round by round coverage here on the one site that I post on when I have a chance. Now given your explaination, I would probably have scored the fight pretty much as you did. What really cracks me is the instant vulgar language used by some as soon as anything negative is said about a Klitschko. Childish. The title of the thread was meant as more of a joke than anything, I would not post anything that was meant in a derrogitory fashion towards you, you and I have talked personaly, and I like your site.

As a fight fan yourself and one, who like myself, has seen what a REALLY good fighter looks like, how he moves, both in footwork and upperbody and head, defense, offense, combinations, does he give angles, does he slip punches, is he an effective aggressor, does he have a beard etc. etc.. I see fighters every month who fight harder for less money, and who would NEVER quit on a stool, and who actualy give the fans in attendance their money's worth in effort if not skill. To me, the supposed Champions in the division don't care about improving, instead they turn in mediocre performances for millions of dollars. I am old enough to remember watching some of the greats, and regretfully, not one of the current crop including Klitschko will ever be known as one of them, I think you would agree. It's unfortunate that some younger boxing fans have come to accept these mediocre fighters as being very good. I care about the sport and the fans, if it were not for the fans there would be no sport of boxing, it's time for the Champions in the division to care more about their performance and less about their bank account...
before u talk **** watch the fight ok, cause nobody understands what the hell ur talking about, it was entartaning and it couldnt have been better..

You see people, THIS is how to post a comment. Nice job. You are right about his stamina, I have seen much better uppercuts and hooks (Tyson for instance) but Klitschko's is decent, as I said he offers "little" else save the jab. He doesn't move particularly well but he is quick handed, obviously the guy has some skill, but really - is he the BEST thing since punches in the division like so many people seem to think?

Leo, you obviously know nothing about me, but that's not a big deal to me. If the fight was so "entartaning" as you so eloquently put it, you must like to hear the crowd booing, or perhaps you enjoy man hugs rather than punches being thrown by the fighters. A quality fighter moves around the ring and doesn't let his opponant charge in for the hug. It's basic boxing 101. I see by your pic that you have a decent sized fist, but I see by your nose that you have never been in the ring... nuff said
