I still think the fight was bull**** and that the ref should not have called it off. There was no time left on the clock whatsoever. He should have been given his 20 seconds to get back into the ring. It's not like Briggs would have been able to hit him again, the fight was over. Saying "Sergei was in no condition to take more punishment" is irrevelent since he wouldn't be taking any. All he had to do was stand up and he was not allowed the opportunity to do so.

He didnt get lucky against Briggs. He was in better shape and overall fought much better. Just a few months ago you all were giving this guy so much credit. Its funny to see how quick you turn on a guy. He needs to get in better shape first then I think he'll be back.

Yeah really... Everyone was running around saying that Sergei was too skilled for Briggs and would put him down in the latter rounds. They were saying that Sergei is a real good fighter and has great potential in the HW division... I had a feeling that they would eat their own words. Now all of a sudden he is absolutely terrible? all liakhovich has is a good chin, briggs landed some great punches that didnt hurt him. If they have a rematch briggs will ktfo him again but probably earlier. The rematch would be no better as he'll be even more scared of his power

It is called being in ****ty shape and not prepared for Briggs actually lasting 12 rounds.

man the guy was scared. you'd be scared too... having a war with who is supposed to be one of the hardest hitting guys in the division, brewster... only to get hit by briggs to find out he hits a lot harder than brewster. That would scare me too

That is still true, he is one of the best heavyweights. Even if they rematch and Briggs knocks him out again, Sergei would beat more heavyweights out there than Briggs could.
