The only fighters on Oscar's list that will not make the HOF for sure is Sturm.
what about Paez, Quartey, Castillejo? dont tell me they are all HOF locks

and to make things fair, we should add that Oscar was the bigger man until 140, perfectly sized for 147 and was the smaller man only in some fights at 154, and of course against Sturm and Hopkins. So when we see Genaro Hernandez on both lists, it was a much harder opponent for Floyd than for Oscar.

That being said, Oscar fought the best competition out of all active fighters (with the possible exception of Holyfield)

Mayweather is quickly becoming a joke. People here don't understand the value of words but yes, Mayweather can damage his reputation with the stuff he's saying. Believe me, it happened to Larry Holmes. He never recovered from what he said about Rocky Marciano.

no one cares anymore NOW about what he said about Rocky Marciano. Holmes was damaged forever by being the champion in between Ali and Tyson, the jock strap thing is just a single cherry on a 20ft cake compared to that.

if words can damage your reputation, how can you even show your face around here, predicting Peter to KO Toney in 4 and Baldomir to beat up Mayweather. You're a ****ing joke.

I'm not talking about Holme's legacy or Mayweather's. I'm talking about each man's popularity in his own era.

I said Sturm was the only guy that is for sure not making it. Quartey is one best fighters to ever come out of Ghana. He beat a lot of good fighters in his day and fought all comers. Paez is a Mexican icon, the only reason his son is getting any press is because of him. Castillejo i'll give to you.

Oscar was much bigger than these guys below, but he also fought Hernandez in his prime. When Oscar beat him it was a huge deal when it happened. Oscar was also dropped in two different fights below 140, so while he was much stronger, it was not until he got older that his body really grew in. And like you said, he was the smaller man at 154-160.

Diego, you should have left ****ing months ago if that was true because everytime you open your mouth you make an idiot out of yourself. I know you can't help it because YOU ARE A ****ING IDIOT, but at least shut your face and be a quiet one.

exactly, DLH is way more accomplished in his career and as far as being a legend i think Oscar is far closer to being one than floyd is. floyd is great but not proven to be one of the greatest, and i am a floyd fan, but the reality is this, floyd isn't as big a name as DLH and he never will be either, the public decides that, not floyd or his nuthuggers.
DLH as fought the tougher opposition and about 85-90% were all in their prime too.

floyd hasn't even came close to fighting the same kind of high risk fights as DLH.
