Sergei was in worse shape than Briggs, as in fighting at less of his potential. No matter how Briggs trains, his stamina sucks because he's a roided meathead, we all know that, but Sergei showed good stamina in the Brewster fight while throwing more punches per round than he did on Saturday. His stamina was NOT there this weekend, nor was his desire to mix it up or even fight at all for that matter. Briggs was about 40% in that fight while Sergei was maybe 20-25%. Both were in ****ty shape but Sergei was just terrible, especially psychologically. He had no confidence whatsoever. He beat himself as much as Briggs did.

Sergei was in panic mode. He looked like an actor walking on stage only to realize he'd forgotten his lines. Briggs was hardly any better. You could see the self-doubt building fron round to round; his breathing became labored...as did Sergei's, much more from the size of the event than from what either was doing to the other.

The whole affair was on par with a 10 round Journeyman fight....and that's an insult to journeymen.

Mr Briggs, keep it in perspective. A few more seconds and you'd have lost that fight. For twelve solid rounds, you gave us nothing to get excited out. And now you expect somebody to recognize your credentials give you the respect a champion deserves? Not quite yet Mr Cannon, it's the WBO.

In the eyes of most fight fans you had your chance, when you got that gift decision against Foreman. Then you did squat ****. Your only hope for success now rests with the fact that everybody else in the HW division is squat **** also, so you'll fit right in!

By the way, Russia and the Ukraine are not the same place, really.
