When Mayweather said he was retiring I think he was playing because he was'nt getting credit although he dominated in the fight, I think he got pissed off, but I also think he was playing mind games with Oscar "I dont need boxing, I dont need Oscar" just like Oscar was playing mind games with Floyd before when he offered tito a fight, remember just couple of weeks ago Floyd said he would fight for another decade if he had too.

Mayweather's next 5 opponents should be:

    Shane Mosley

    Oscar De La Hoya

Antonio Margarito (To remove the hype, and this fight should only happen when Margarito gets past Clottey and Williams, if he does'nt then thats it)

    Ricky Hatton

    Miguel Cotto

    The win streak ends here.

Mayweather made Gatti look silly. In this case, Mayweather coasted to a victory. Like Larry Merchant said, and I agree, he pretty much won a shut out against Baldomir. No one can take that away from him- there's his credit. You won every round, Floyd. Good job. It was obvious that you were way out of his league. The booing, and the upset fans, though, come from the fact that it didn't seem like Mayweather was giving his all. His hand was hurt, he wanted to secure his victory, or secure his fight with De la Hoya- whatever the reasoning Mayweather didn't seem to be offensivley minded. He didn't seem to be trying his best. He seemed to be sticking to a safe game plan and winning an easy fight. Good job for him...but many fans want him to do more than that if he can, in his ****y way, scream about being the best fighter EVER. That's just foolish. He hasn't proven it. Now he's talking about retiring? I may sound cynical, or discouraged- well, I am a fan of Floyd's...I just don't think he's living up to his own hype. He talks a HUGE game...such a big game I think he falls short.

Feb. will see Mayweather vs. Mosley. That's my prediction. Maybe wishful thinking.

Y'all can't take too seriously what Floyd says. He likes to draw attention to himself, which is why he says that **** about retiring, about him being better than SRR and Ali, and about SRL not being top 10 if he fought now.

He also has the typical wannabe-businessman mentality that so many rappers and athletes display nowadays, which is why I believe he said he would retire after the ODLH fight; to make the fight "the las tfight of these 2 great champions" so people will be more interested in it, especially since he was called out by his own network last night as a boring fighter.

Mayweather's main problem is his is an insecure man who needs people to cheer him, and love him, saying great things about him for his self esteem. Without that, his ego takes a beating. Problem is, the way he runs his mouth about being the best ever, the 'creme de la creme' makes people respect him less. If you lay out every opponent, or make them look plain ******, and run your mouth then you are considered ****y. If the audience boos you and you say it you're laughed at. He needs to let his fists do the talking. He is the pound for pound champion right now...so why keep asserting how great you are? Let others do that.

I thought he was considering Spinks at 154 next, followed by De La Hoya or Mosley

If Hatton gets rid of Castillo in impressive fashion in the summer, there'll be calls for Hatton/Mayweather again.

If he gets Castillo out of there in impressive fashion, there'll be calls for Mayweather to tackle Hatton. Big calls, I hope, because that's the fight of the era.. two very special fighters, that's the big one, and it's too close to call.
