    Mayweathers next 5 fights

Why arent people giving Floyd Credit? For his win...Baldomir was like 15 pounds heavier than Mayweather...what do you expect him to do? Knock out a guy who has good chin and outweighs you by 15 pounds....this fight definately answered one question for me, Floyd can fight till 154 and I already knew he could easily expose Hatton and Margarito, im just more confident, I gave those fighters 10% chance of beating Floyd, but not maybe 5%.

When Mayweather said he was retiring I think he was playing because he was'nt getting credit although he dominated in the fight, I think he got pissed off, but I also think he was playing mind games with Oscar "I dont need boxing, I dont need Oscar" just like Oscar was playing mind games with Floyd before when he offered tito a fight, remember just couple of weeks ago Floyd said he would fight for another decade if he had too.

Mayweather's next 5 opponents should be:

    Shane Mosley

    Oscar De La Hoya

Antonio Margarito (To remove the hype, and this fight should only happen when Margarito gets past Clottey and Williams, if he does'nt then thats it)

    Ricky Hatton

    Miguel Cotto

apparenty, the man was crying, in tears, at the postfight press conference.

But right after the fight, he told merchant in an interview that he was gonna keep beating the best they got until De La Hoya knocks on his door.

So the decision of retirement was made in the time period between the interview and the postfight press conference. lol. he clearly hasnt put to much thought into this decision

Excellent post. I agree 100%, and those 5 fighters were the ones that I was telling a friend of mine who I think he should fight.

And the reason why people don't wanna give Floyd credit for that win is just the hating. It IS very obvious that he can compete with and possibly beat anyone under 154.

I think Paul Williams should be there instead of Cotto or Margarito. Certainly the winner of WILLIAMS-MARGARITO should get Mayweather.

Both are formidable opponents for the p4p king, and both are on their hands and knees begging for that fight, and convincing many fans that they deserve it along the way.

Ehh, I can't add anything to this, Parody, you hit the nail right on the head. That would be my exact order if I could pick Mayweather's next 5 fights.

My guess is because Floyd said he is the best of all time, better than Robinson and Ali, Leonard wouldn't even be top 10 these days, and that the Mayweather-Baldomir fight won't go 12 rounds...but it did since he remained on his bicycle in the fight and didn't go for a KO but an easy decision against a tired, outclassed, and satisfactory (when compared to the top tier fighters) opponent.

i would LOVE to see a rematch of his emanuel augustus fight. but i know that will never happen

if floyd wants to go in the books then he needs to fight anyone and everyone. which means hatton,DLH,williams(when he gets well known),mosely,Margarito, cotto

as far as any of those fights following thru, i think mosely, margarito, and hopefully DLH but i doubt thatll happen after last nights performance

I think his next fight should be against Mark Suarez, you remember.....his mandatory that he ducked a few months back. I think that'll really silence his critics and let him go out on top.
