Nobody needs excuses. The Mayweather-Margarito fight didn't happen for business reasons. The point is that people look silly/****** for propping up a cheater like Margarito as if he's some big bad wolf that Floyd ran from out of fear. Your irrational hate for Mayweather causes you to act as if Magarito is some career defining opponent that Mayweather ducked. The fight didn't happen, get over it.

I never called Floyd a ducker until Floyd recently admitted to that .... so you Floyd fans are in denial ... no problem.
I'm no fan of a cheater but the thing is is that Floyd ducked Margarito and fought Baldomir for $750, 000 less when you take into considerations the penalty fee that Floyd paid to fight Baldomir instead of Margarito. So not seeing the financial benefit at that point in time.
What Floyd could have done if he felt so confident was beat Margarito in August then fight Baldomir in November/December like he did. That was similar to people wanting Mosley to fight Floyd in November even though he had just fought that summer and planned on a vacation.
Margarito was a threat. You need to beat your threats NOT duck them and make others beat them for you.
George Foreman could have said, I don't need to face Ali because I beat Frazier and Norton so so easily ..... see how ridiculous it sounds? When Floyd avoided Margarito, who knew who could beat Margarito? It's more about the duck ..... Floyd went on to admit he ducked Margarito because he felt something was wrong with Margarito ..... Floyd did the same with Manny.
Now Floyd fans are in denial phase and saying "Others beat Margarito/Manny/Cotto/Williams ..... so what is the point of Floyd facing a loser?"Comment

I'm not in denial about anything. When did Floyd admit to ducking anyone? Unless you can provide evidence to support this claim then you're a liar.
I'm quite sure that you aren't a fan of Margarito, which makes the fact that you're propping him up just to try and discredit Mayweather even more pathetic. Mayweather leaving Top Rank was about more than choosing to fight Baldomir over Margarito. He left Top Rank so that he could free himself up for the DLH fight. The same fight that Arum refused to try and make for Floyd. Only an idiot couldn't see the financial benefit.
Or Floyd could have left Arum/Top Rank, fought Baldomir then fought DLH turning himself into a superstar and the biggest draw in boxing. Which is exactly what he did. You sound like an idiot. You're basically criticizing Mayweather for not hustling backwards.
Everybody that Floyd has stepped in the ring with has been a threat. Margarito was no more of a threat than Baldomir. He wasn't near the threat that DLH was at 54. Plus as it turns out, he was a cheater who didn't look like anything after he was caught cheating. Margarito was a B level fighter at his best, but there's really no telling how good he actually was because of the loaded wraps fiasco. It's no shame that he never got the Floyd fight, it's actually a blessing.
Again, provide evidence of Floyd saying that he ducked Margarito. The fact is that Arum himself has gone on record saying that Floyd accepted the Margarito and Cotto fights on the condition that Arum would make the DLH fight. Arum declined Floyd's stipulation so Floyd bought himself out of Top Rank's contract and made the fight without Arum. Arum has also played a major role in the Mayweather-Pacquiao fight not being made yet you only blame Mayweather. You're sad man, let the hate go.
The only people in denial are you miserable Floyd haters who been whining and crying about Floyd for almost 10 years. It hurts you people's sould that Floyd is considered the best that you sit around hating, nitpicking at him in an effort to discredit his greatness. There was never proof that Floyd was ever scared of the inferior Margarito. Shane Mosley proved to the world what a fraud this clown was by knocking his ass out and ending his career.
Arum wanted a Mexican champion at ww just like he had in the lower weight classes thinking he could turn Margarito into a draw, and Margarito's style never became fan friendly. Arum tried to inject some controversey into the situation and ordered Margarito to crash an event that Floyd would be at. All expense paid trip too, lmao! Nothing happened, end of story. That was all Arum's doing. They even shook hands.
The fight never happened because of business reasons. Floyd did not want to do business with Arum had he beaten Margarito where Arum had options on Floyds next few fights. Everyone knows this...even Margarito's fans..
I understand why Margarito fans hang on to the "Floyd was scared of Margarito" saying. DJ's, Espn announcers, etc etc all beat Floyd outside of the ring...never in it. We understand why Castillo beat Floyd, why Ponce and Quintero beat Broner, why Ward is boring. We understand why you all do what you do.Comment
