he fought a smart fight. i thought he would try to KO him early but he reserved his power and stamina for the later rounds. Sergei is a good fighter and i guess i was wrong about the real deal but credit to Briggs for a smart gameplan.

the fight ****** through and through. serguei was winning but briggs did absolutley nothing in the fight, he threw **** beans for punches and was gasing in after the second round, AND HE THREW NOTHING! it was pretty infortunate that sergeui lost in a bout with no action, he got careless a bit in the 12th and it cost him the title.

but briggs is crap and will lose to anyone who presses the action on him. he does have big power but if someone boxes him and makes briggs work, briggs is going to collapes from exhaustion. he was terrible. i feel bad for serguei losing that way but hey that's boxing, you can't slip for one second or you're out!

I'm not sure why you all thought Sergei was this amazing person after winning against Brewster... I'm extremely suprised that he was knocked out so easily but I didn't think he had this great chance against Briggs...

        This fight was pretty ridiculous.

Why trash a earnest, hard-working professional who gave us (IMO) the most entertaining fight of the year? No need.

.....The fight was tactical and measured to a fault. Sergei was leary of Briggs power and I have no idea why Briggs wouldn't throw. He claimed that Sergei's style threw him off but still. I would have to say that at this point Briggs has more power than Brewster. It seemed like any time Briggs connected with the few power punches that he threw it ended up hurting Sergei. Briggs is dangerous but too inactive and has real stamina problems. The fight was boring as hell for the most part. Wlad would jab him to death IMO but could also get into trouble from Briggs big punching.
