Mayweather - no condition for jumping rope?

I just seen the training video and i seen floyd do his traing, and i seen him do his thing on the bag. Though i don't remember the last time i seen floyd punch in combos, unless im not paying attention which could be the case. And i noticed some things when he was hitting the bag that i didn't like. But then again, he ain't trying to be pefect in front of the public. The training video was impressive, but i seen some that i didn't like, some bad habit you can say. But what really got my attention was when he was jumping rope. Floyd had barley had any air for jumping rope, you could tell he was carring his legs. I wonder how long ago the training video is cause I don't like what i see from floy on the jump rope. I think he may be taking Baldomier lightly, but being Floyd i'll belive that he is not. But imo, don't expect Floyd to use his legs in this fight. And if he does, i'll be very surprised. And i wanted to ask the floyd fans who have probably watching him jump rope before, can he actually jump rope without having to stop and take a breather?

His sit ups are impressive. As far as the bag goes, from what I saw it looks like he was just trying to keep a consistant repition for a certain amount of time. He looks like hes pushing himself to me.

I heard Mayweather only ever works on technique in sparring, everything else (pads, bags, rope etc) is pure conditioning and fanciful stuff. He also has no schedule, trains at all hours (might ring Roger to bring the pads round at 3am or something and Roger would have to get out of bed!), like Hamed said he did in '94.

I thought he was pushing himself a bit too, but I don't remember the last time i seen floyd let his hands go like that. And what he is doing on the bag, imo, is perfect for when you are tired and this way because of this rountine, even being tired in a fight he should be able to throw combos in burst even if he's tired because of this routine, at least thats what i think.

I think some of that may be bull or could be true - i don't belive it. Usally imo, you can tell a fighters condition when he starts jump ropeing and how he jumps rope, this being after he does his workout and sparring if he sparrs that day.

I don't think Floyd runs as much as he says he does, or he is doing what he wants and when he wants instead of sombody pushing him to do the training, even when he doesn't want too. But its working for him. But if his opponet was Margarito, i'd be more worried based on what i saw. Im not saying i know this or that, but like everybody, we all have opinions. But i bet Floyd will fight with Baldomier, and i think he's training like that, and imo, he doesn't seem to have the wind to give a great boxing lesson even if he wanted to. I say Floyd by ud.

i think i've seen an earlier training video, might have been from his fight with gatti, where he's using the rope, and he looks very good in it, the rope work he does in the baldomir training video doesn't compare.

He looked gassed. I was surprised, cause i've read some post where they said he looked great in the training video.

What was funny, is how he was trying to show off on the jump rope but then he would get winded.

Floyd needs to watch the masters with the jump roping skills, Ray Robinson and Roberto Duran.

No, it doesn't but imo, its a must for training. And imo, that shows a lack of conditioning. If after you do your thing in the gym wheather you sparr or not, and are still able to jump rope -without stoping and no rest period- then you are in good condition.

Skipping rope really fast, can help get get wind in a fight. Its like sprinting. If you run, and then add sprinting to your runs you will feel the difference in sparring. Best thing to do also is runniing stairs, that **** gets you fit.

                  re ferocity:
most of the training he does for the camera's is just for show. i have read reports that the gameplan and strategy is never, ever filmed before a bout. i really don't think the way he was jumping rope is really going to effect the fight, especially considering the fact that mayweather is a consumate professional inside the ring - unfortunately not outside the ring .

I aggree but him jumping rope was not anything special because he didn't have the wind to keep going without having to take a breather. He just seemed wasted. I guess after reading some of the hype he was getting for this training video i expected him to look flawless. But again, i just didn't like what i saw.

Im not saying him jumping rope the way he is, is going to affect his fighting, what im saying, or trying to say is that him jumping rope, imo, is an indication that he's not in the best of shape he could possably be in for this fight with Baldomier. So this in turn affects how he will fight, because to box, is too waste energy, to fight or to stay flat footed is to conserve energy.

I belive floyd will be flat footed for this fight, he may box for 1 or 2 rounds, the;n settle down in the 3 and start picking his shots.
