Even As Biased As He Was Before, I Liked Him A Lot More Before He Opened His Mouth In Winky Vs Taylor

      Jim Lampley = Taylor's#1 Nuthugger

But Yeah, He's The Best Commentator

Just watched the Blow-Bika footage, and the way he **** rides newly-signed Joe Blow all the way through is excrutiating, almost as bad as his "Winky is BADLY HURT" (er... no he's not, Jim) outburst. What's the point in having him on??

if lampley would leave, who would replace him?

atlas is signed with espn - and he thinks he knows every-goddamned-thing. that "punchers are born" thing really pisses me off as it's total bull****.

personally, having max kellerman(can't stand him!), kermit the frog, and lennox lewis work everything that isn't world championship boxing is bad enough! if we got rid of lampley, who next? larry merchant?

the day merchant leaves is the day i watch hbo on mute. actually, i sort of do that already with kellerman and kermit - except i turn the volume down really low.

now harold lederman, i can do without that old sack of bones.

yeah the HBO team of Larry Merchant, Jim Lampley, Harold Lederman and Emmanuel Steward works well for getting the average boxing fan into boxing granted their biased but thats what their sappost to do. Hype up the fighter than can bring their network millions

Jim Lampley is great. Period. I have seen many other boxing shows and HBO is by far the best. Jim and Larry are the 1 and 2 the only question that should be asked is who should be the # 3. Steward is okay, roy was cool but by far i liked Big geroge.

He was never really THAT objective, he had his fav fighters, but now he favors HBO fighters only.
I will never forget how pissed I was at him for the DLH v Whitaker fight.

No. It is time for Larry Merchant to step down, though. Lampley does a good job of tying it all together, and if the crew on Boxing After Dak is what they're going to pick to replace him, then certainly he should stay where he is for a long time.

A fight with Taylor and Del La Hoya, man Lampley would have a field day.
