    Is it time for Jim Lampley to stand down?

    I used to remember the guy being a LOT more objective than he is now, or is it my imagination? Okay, there's the infamous "... and he's an AMERICAN!" scream, but generally he used to watch fights and talk about them from all angles.. didn't he??

    Just watched the Blow-Bika footage, and the way he **** rides newly-signed Joe Blow all the way through is excrutiating, almost as bad as his "Winky is BADLY HURT" (er... no he's not, Jim) outburst. What's the point in having him on??

      we have seen what happens when he gets replaced.

      so...id rather not see him go.

          No other commentator is as good as covering boxing as Jim Lampley. Sure, he's a bit of a cheerleader but nobody calls a fight like him...

              You are nuts. He does way too much nuthugging. I have never understood his appeal. He is a A number one ****sucker, who left his daughter in the middle of the Golota-Bowe riot while his ***** ass ran for cover. I would rather have Teddy Atlas frankly.

                      I'm sure he's like that because of HBO direction. If they replace him the next guy will be just as bad.

                              If not worse...Lampley is better than any others, who should he be replaced with?

                                  I watch hbo fights with mute sound, the commenting is almost as bad as "thunder" punches of the Contender.

                                      Lampley is the best at bringing more excitment out of a fight. Can you imagine if he covered the Corrales/Castillo fight?
