What a shame.
How is trying to get fights with DLH, Mosely and moving up in weight and fighting champions not trying to build a legacy? You people are blind in your hate seriously. So what if he thinks he is better than Ali and Robinson I would too if I was him. I dont see the problem. These guys in the past used to say the same things. You people are just blinded by your hate of the best fighter in the sport.

Bull****. Plenty of other fighters DO know, and they don't feel the need to act in that manner. He's just a flat-out prick, no point in defending it.

So thank you for the "generosity and fighting heart" lessons but none of us are entitled to teach that class.

plenty? how many fighters make that money today?

anyway if those fighters come here and posts, I would be interested in what they have to say.

Instead I find no value in a bunch of potato couches screaming "he just wants money" from behind a keyboard.

Mind, i dont like that floyd talks about money, in an ideal world I would like that the best active fighter is a warrior and not a business man.
Too bad: in a world where most boxing fans think one defeat means you are exposed, there is no space for warriors, only for businessmen.

Who said anything about hating Mayweather, just because someone has an opposing opinion about a fighter doesn't always mean they hate him. You should read my post again and not make asinine assumptions, because you completely missed the mark on what I'm trying to say. I have no problem with him thinking he's the best in the sport, whatever, but when he's discrediting a legend like Sugar Ray Leonard for losing to a legend like Roberto Duran, that shows a complete lack of respect for those who came before him. Fighters like that don't tend to develop a likable image and thats not good for his legacy. Yes, he wants Oscar De La Hoya that's the fight Floyd wanted ever since his father left his corner to train the 'Golden Boy'. I have never heard him call out Mosley, I have heard it the other way around, Mosely calling him out. Ofcourse he would prefer De La Hoya instead because it would be the biggest pay day of his entire career, enough for two lifetimes.

You can stick the "couch potato" thing straight up your ass. I don't need to have been in his position to know that he's a prick for acting like he does. And where exactly is the earning point set where it becomes ok to be an ass?

Yes, PLENTY of other fighters have equalled and surpassed his earning ability without the need to show his level of disrespectfulness and contempt of other fighters and the fans. Whether they're fighting today or not is irrelevent but I'll throw in DLH for today's sake. People like Ali did it with charisma and wit, and you'd need to have no sense of humour to be unable to realise most of it was tongue in cheek. That's clearly not the case with Floyd.

I've no problem if he wants to make money his main priority, as long as he doesn't try to claim a place alongside the great fighters who fought for a legacy at the same time. His view on things pretty much sums up everything that's wrong with boxing today.

I doubt very much that it was an intended play on words. There are way too many grammar & spelling errors from various posters on this site.

                  Punchy...or just simply, under educated?

                  Anyway....it's good for a chuckle!

Your a pure fool and obviously not a true fan of the sport. Floyd is a disgrace for saying that as well. Floyd does'nt love the sport he loves himself period.

                      Change the thread title to...

"Mayweather is a P4P Prick" and ill agree.

in other words, who gives a damn, he is the best of our era (in the ring that is)
