Margarito's a big welter, but so is Oscar, and both are fairly normal sized 154 lb. fighters. My point is, Margarito's big thing is his size and strength advantage, which he wouldn't have against Oscar. Add to that Oscar's handspeed, his power, and the vast experience gap between the two, and it's not a fight anymore, think Lewis-Grant lol

This thread is so ridiculous. Basically if you picked Margarito to do well, you have forfeited all respect by the forum and may God have mercy on your pathetic, biased, Mexican soul.

Uhm, if Margarito couldn't handle Santos at 154, why on gods green earth would anyone think he could take Oscar at 154?

Exactly, people are thinking that just because he's bigger than a lot of fighters at welter, that he'll be the bigger man against Oscar too. That's the only thing he's got going for him at 147, he'll be this unbeatable monster vs. Oscar.

ummm Santos is bigger than Oscar... BTW didn't Tony out**** Oscar in sparring. Everybody seems to put alot of faith into the Williams/Margarito sparring affair. Well suppose Margarito did has one up on Oscar.

My prediction for the fight... Margarito KOs Oscar. Too much pressure, to high a pace and waaaay too many punches. Oscar don't want to work nomore... Any of you bozos who picked Oscar are just fanboys. Mayorga was done... And so is Oscar. Bring on the new class....

              PS...
If someone put a post up Klitschko vs DLH... Many of you would probably say DLH. Just like many of you, I'm sure picked DLH over Hopkins... Just silly...

Fact of the matter is for you DLJ fans it's to hard for you to digest that de la joya would have no chance first off he's been called out and ofcourse he would not take a fight for margarito to dangerous. Real Boxing fans know that beating a Mayorga gives De la joya no credibility tht he still has it why you ask? because Mayorga is an overly aggresive fighter who Everyone knows has a knock out punch but does not have any legitamate boxing skills such as footwork and a consistent jab , and ofcourse oscar being the "BOXER " he is will outclass him and make himself look like a million bucks doing it and winning the hearts of old DLJ fans and "CONSUMER BOXING FANS" who only now names and not boxing. Watch the fight again tell me how many times Mayorga threw a jab and least tried to slip punches. Oscar is past his prime and in over his head if he were to take that fight which would never happen also in margarito's favor WHY DO YO THINK MAYWEATER TURNED DOWN 8 million to fight him. Considering he got payd less for a baldomir bout. It is fear ladies so if you think De la Joya would have a chance with margarito think again .

to diego fuego if you think Jermain Taylor is a competitor at middleweight you must be out your mind with that lame performance against winkie wright who clearly won. Besides he will never make real ppv money because he is the most boring fighter ever , I agree he has sufficient talent to hang in there tremendous condition great power BUT LAME skills no slipping of punches he has a real academic boxing still which is boring I would not pay 49.99 to watch him fight any contender at 160 lbs maybe watch winkie beat at a rematch and JT is not the man to beat how many fighters do you see moving to middleweight to fight him nobody brotha cause he is lame and no real money is made with him, why dont you think winkie would take a rematch i would rather see winkie at 154 and if he could 147
