How come tyson could knock down sanders but he couldnt knock out mcbride

I alwasy thought that it was there to prevent you from cuts.
I mean when they hit you in the headgear, it sitll hurts.

Headgear takes the sting out of a punch, and gives you a little sense of security. The Tyson we saw was very relaxed, thats why he looked as good as he did. I saw him do things that he never did in any of his fights like parry a jab with his right hand. If he could fight relaxed ,ala Roberto Duran, he wouldn't gas like he has. Tyson said the bout was hard, but he didn't appear winded. 90 % mental is so true in boxing. Tyson hasn't figured that out yet.

Tyson also didn't try at all vs McBride...Basically it was wierd, I feel almost like they gave him something before the fight...How does a man go from saying he's going to stomp some guy's kids testicles to saying "he called me a bad Mother F'er" (he actually said F'er instead of ****er"..... The only aggression you saw was when Tyson clamped McBrides arm for the gay way McBride was clinching...

Tyson only went into that fight with the money, and once the money was secured he quit...
