No way would I pay to watch today's heavyweights fight. Is the Briggs-Sergei fight free? Either way I don't have Showtime so it won't matter.

I think this fight will resemble a Mayweather vs Corrales.
terrible comparison. Mayweather dominated and dropped Corrales many times. It will be more like Mayweather-Castillo II where Mayweather lost maybe 3-4 rounds. But Baldomir sucks real bad and is not worthy of being compared to Castillo. Therefore, Mayweather wins 10-11 rounds.

Not to mention he has an excellent jab. Oscar still has one of the best jabs in boxing when he uses it consistantly. A good jab can offset speed, if he works his jab the way he is capable of doing it could give Floyd problems. He is the naturally bigger man and Floyd will be moving up to 154. He is already a small welter and not quite as fast as he was at the lower weight classes. He never had a punch and will not hurt Oscar at 154,but like you said if Floyd gets caught he could go down. I'm not saying that Floyd couldn't win, but the nuthuggers that think Oscar couldn't just as easily beat Floyd need to take off there blinders as I said. It wouldn't be a major upset either if Oscar were to win. For someone to say that Floyd would easilky beat Osca is just plain ignorant.
Oscar is only 2 inches taller than Floyd, but both of them started their careers at Super Featherweight. Oscar went up to middleweight by getting a controversial decision, IMO for me he only went up till 154 legitly and so will floyd when he fights oscar for the wbc light middleweight title and beat him. I am one of the biggest floyd fans in this website and I agree if someone says floyd will beat oscar easily it wud be a bold statement, IMO Floyd would win a UD over oscar but it would'nt be onesided, something like 116-112.

I, too, am really looking forward to the Baldomir-Mayweather showdown. Floyd Mayweather is the very best fighter in the world, pound-4-pound, IMO; and therefore would be better served with a World Championship Strap around his waist, so I'm glad he's fighting the one true champ of the Welterweight Divsion.

All the paper titles in the world mean nothing when compared to the real McCoy. It was a damn shame that Floyd never challenged Ricky Hatton for supremacy at 140 LBs. He probably could have beaten him and that would have stood well in the historical sense. As it is, Ricky was the man at Jr. Welter and Floyd was 2nd best and moved up before fighting the best.

Now, while Baldomir was an unexpected surprise when he upset the highly overrated, highly talented Zab Judah, he really showed his passion when he staffed off the blown up Arturo Gatti. Baldomir really wants to be world champion; and I admire that and am impressed with his resolve. Whether or not he can beat Floyd is something most people think they already know the answer to, presuming the the more physically gifted and highly skilled Mayweather will give us a highly publicized sparring session come Novermber 4....and he may do just that; but I'd like to go on record one more time saying that I give Tata a better than average chance at the upset once again.

Am I saying Carlos will beat Floyd Mayweather? No. I am very aware of how good Floyd is; he is a rare talent. However, he also hasn't had a guy jump in his face and muscle him around in a long time; and that's exactly what Baldomir is going to have to do, if he is going to win....and win he can.

Somebody started a thread a while back, asking: "Who will beat Floyd Mayweather Jr.? My answer: somebody you don't expect.

Does anybody "expect" Baldomir to win?

              November 4th, we await you.

I agree with that K-Dogg- in the sense that Mayweather is the automatic favorite based on his skill- but people are overlooking that boxing is a dangerous sport where you can lose against an opponent nobody expected. While I don't think Baldomir is neccesarily the man Floyd will loose to, I believe he has the right style to upset Mayweather...so whether he is the one to do it...or say a Margarito is...a bigger man who bullies him might be the one to hand him his first loss. I'm interested enough to watch.

No...you said it would resemble Mayweather vs. Corrales. So basically you see Mayweather dropping Baldomir several times and winning a TKO? Surely you don't mean the other way around?

                  So what did I misunderstand?
