great interview. great interview. joe's right about Taylor. He could easly move up to 168. he is a big guy. Could make the weight eaaaaaaaassssy. Take up the challange Jermaine. -
Taylor won't fight Calzaghe.
And as for that idiot asking about a cach weight.. ****ing hell, Joe's a 200lb man who has to turn into a white Ephiopian to make 168. He wouldn't stand a chance against Taylor at 164 because he'd have to be wheeled to the ring.Comment

yeah, fighting Taylor would be a good fight, especially for Joe to make his mark in States...I just don't know if Taylor has had enough time working with Emanuel to beat Joe at this point...Taylor has some flaws still and Joe would exploit them if you base it on the last fight with Winky...I don't want to take anything away from Winky, but his punch-output isn't like Joe's and that would cause more problems for Taylor, plus Joe is stronger.
A fight with Glenn Johnson would still be interesting because Glenn is a pressure fighter...it would be at least an exciting fight, but I favor Joe.
I also think he is right that there is no point to a Lacy fight...this fight was a shutout, no point in a rematch.
One point though, if Joe shows up like he did in his last fight he will have trouble.Last edited by Abe Attell; 10-25-2006, 03:30 AM.Comment

if taylor is such a big man, why doesnt he fight joe between super middle and light heavy weight?

because there is no point...I said this before, Taylor is trying to make a Legacy at 160, just like Joe has been allowed all these years to do at
168...Why should we demand Taylor to move up this early in his career when Joe hasn't even moved up and he is in his 30's...
Joe needs to concentrate on unifying his division or move up to 175.
If Taylor did fight him and beat him, that would be huge for his legacy, but what happens after that, is he going to be able to drop down to 160 again without any effect to his body?Last edited by Abe Attell; 10-25-2006, 07:16 AM.Comment

You're right. That would probably be the biggest stumbling block. But if it were to happen, I hope Joe takes a pay cut to entice Taylor in any negotiations. It would be worth it.Comment
