Does anyone here think that the peek-a-boo style would suit Brock and help him to win?

....yeah, if he could do it. It is not a popular sytle inasmuch as it requires a very high level of fitness. Most heavyweights are too bloody lazy to make that commitment. Try bobbing and weaving and jabbing for one solid minute, then you will see how difficult it is.

he fights like john ruiz? somebody get this guy a copy of a john ruiz fight.

I posted the video of Klitschko vs. Byrd. Watch it and you will see Klitschko using Byrd for clinching practise, and not doing it nearly as well as John Ruiz. Perhaps that is why he needed the practise?

yeah right, and waste all his tap dancing experience???

i cant believe im reading some people who definately dont know anything about training a fighter talking about how calvin brock should be attempting a more tyson-esque style.

somebody bookmark this and make sure it gets brought up about once a week after brock is pounded into submission.

maybe we should email the suggestions to calvins trainers theyd probably insist he make the change immediately

Do you know that Ray Robinson claims in his autobiography he was paid about $15,000 a week to tap dance? It doesn't surprise me that Robinson was a good dancer, he had great footwork in the ring. But what about Brock? His footwork seems somewhat mediocre to me. All that tap dancing didn't do a hell of a lot to improve his performance in the ring.

I agree he paces himself better now. And of course it takes 2 guys to fight a fast fight, but it only takes one guy to throw out the other man's rythm. True, Brock could tire just as fast as klit, however it is to his advantage to get in superb condition, his smaller body would allow him to outlast a heavier fighter like klit if he fights the right fight.

Like i said it is highly unlikely scenerio but that is what Brock would have to do to beat klit.

once wladamir lands a good straight right he will have brock backing up for the rest of the fight.

people keep saying that brock needs to get inside to win but the fact of the matter is that he cant get inside without getting hit, and hes never been hit nearly as hard as he is going to be in this one... he really truly will have to get lucky to win this fight.

Yea, my thoughts exatly, Brock is going to get stunned by a right hand and go on defense mode all night long, Wlad will keep him in the distance and pound that jab on him to play it safe, this will end in UD IMO... duo to Brock's awkardness...

Brock has never been a fast fighter. Besides, Klitschko has never in my memory come in heavy or not prepared physically. Besides, Brock will slow down immediately after he gets hit with a couple of rights and Klitschko has the jab to neutralize even a very quick fighter. I don't think this will work at all.

I think Brock can win the fight if he does what Valuev did to Barrett: pace himself very carefully, not being the aggressor in the first 6-7 rounds, and then pick-up the pace and pressure Wlad. By that time Wlad will be a little tired and Brock has a chance to catch him and TKO. But chances of that are pretty slim, most likely Wlad would finish him before then.

Just look at that pathetic exhibition of boxing between Klitschko and Byrd and you will see just how easy it would be to beat Klitschko. Pawing the jab, over and over, and Byrd lets him get away with it. Make a move at him Klitschko pulls straight back and Byrd doesn't chase him. More often than not he crosses his feet when he moves laterally, and Byrd lets him get away with that too. It is hard to believe but that was a championship fight!

If Brock has studied the tape and done his homework in the gym, he will beat Klitschko because there is lots of ways to beat him. If........there is only two letters in that word, but it is a mighty big word!
Im just wondering why you harbor so much hate towards Wlad. So much so that it even clouds your common sense.

There is NOTHING Brock can do to win. No matter what he tries.

If Brock had some quality that made him stand out, if he was really mobile or had a really big punch, or if he had great stamina, then I could see giving him a chance. As it stands however, he does nothing especially well, he just does everything fairly decent. That being said, if he rushes Wlad, he will have to clinch if he doesn't get caught on the way in. If he stays outside and waits for the second half of the fight, he just loses rounds and delays the beating a little, how's Wlad going to gas if he isn't being forced to work? I can only see a lucky shot winning him this fight. My two cents.
