Saying you can take a punch from McCline and get back up is like saying if you got a ******* from Monica Belluchi, you'd enjoy it. It's not unique nor impressive, it's just the natural order of things.
Can Calvin Brock do this?

Listen up Pump...
Dont get excited that the Boxing Banker was able to get up and fight back when being smacked by Big Time McCline...Big Time is no benchmark that determines strength of chin, the benchmark comes against Wlad Klitchko...if he gets knocked down, gets up and punishes the Ukranian then we can have a party.
Damn Pump sometimes yu get way to excited!
I was taught that boxing was about hitting and not getting hit. Apparently you keyboard warriors think boxing is about walking through punches. Try it down in the gym some day, then you will understand why responsible trainers concentrate on defense.
To win all Brock has to do is exploit Klitshcho's weaknesses. Standing in front of Klitschko and blocking punches with his head is NOT the correct strategy for Brock. It may have worked for Brewster but it didn't work for Byrd. One new skill Brock should have been practising is the uppercut and learning to time it for the clinch that Klitschko is most certainly going to employ. Will we see it? It all depends on how badly Brock wants to win.Comment

No one is saying it'd be a good idea for Brock to take punches from Wladimir. What they are saying is that they'd prefer to see Brock absorb some punches, in the event that he does win, so we know if his chin is for real or not for future fights.Comment

calvin brock is very very average. he has no outstanding qualities about him and the only reason hes getting so much attention is because hes american in a european dominated division and hes undefeated.
im not saying brock sux. its just that hes just another fighter, hes nothing special.Comment

Agreed Saint. He's a jack of all trades, and those kinds of guys usually don't get very far at heavyweight.Comment

If you are involved in the HW division or almost any division for that matter you are going to have to prove at some point in your career that you have a beard, you have whiskers....your chin can take a good shot or two without it disconnecting your ass.
This is all we are saying, dont fail to miss this point again.Comment

McCline is a very hard puncher. He just never fights like a big puncher and I have no idea why. I don't think Brock will beat Klitschko, but he has the heart to get off the mat and fight to get himself out of trouble.Comment
