Faruq Saleem is a heayweight whos 35-0 (31) KOs. Has anyone ever heard of him? Just because you have a good record doesn't mean you are good. It could just mean you fight people who are lesser bums, like Valuev does.

Nikolay Valuev is the only Heavyweight on the list there, so the others dont matter. And there is no way you can compare Valuev to Marciano. It's sacreligous. Valuev is barely top ten Heavyweight today. Marciano is a top ten heavyweight of all time.

all marciano would have to do is clip valvue a few times with that right cross and he'd be down ... not even flush shots just barely get it up there and he'd tumble ...

Holmes came the closest 48-0-0. That's pretty darn close.

Actually Holmes did not come close. Going 60-0 would still not beat Marciano's record if he came back (and we all know Holmes would come back when Tyson hit the scene) and lost just once. It's not that Marciano achieved 49-0, but that he retired afterwords and never lost that is impressive.

I can't believe how difficult this concept is for many people to understand. Valuev can go 70-0 but he won't beat Marciano's record until he is dead or say 60 years old, at which point there's no possible way he can make a comeback and lose.
