If i was a newbie here i'd think Floyd was the greatest of all-time. If Floyd could beat all the top fighters that are in the weltereweight division, but avoid Margarito that will be a fighter that will haunt him forever. Just like Floyd Patterson haunts Rocky Marciano, people say he retired rather then facing Floyd Patterson. So thats how i see it going down, of course if Margarito loses the talk will stop, unless Margarito comes back even stronger, but the way Margarito loses its going to be very difficult to beat him.

Lets see after Baldomier, Mosley and Delahoya, lets see who Maywether fights next. Them more i think about it, i don't think we'll ever see a Margarito v. Mayweather fight unless he's forced into a fight with Margarito. But Floyd fans and many boxing fans are comtemp with the road Mayweather has taken so far, so we will never see a Margarito v. Floyd fight, but when Mayweather retires, Margaritos name will come up at one time when mentioning Mayweather.

Atheletically, technically, intelligent wise, floyd is up there. If margarito loses to clottey or williams, nobody will give a ****, i garuntee it, id bet a months pay.

Diego Corralles- Do I really have to tell you he's good?
JL Castillo- Same as Corralles, you already know how good he is.
Jesus Chavez- Since '95, has lost to Mayweather and Erik Morales
Victoiano Sosa- Not claiming he's great, but since '96 has lost to PBF, Cotto and Spadafora
N'Dou- Hadn't lost since '98 until Floyd and Hlatswayo (retired due to illness)
Corley- Not great, but he's no scrub.
Gatti- Again, you already know he's good
Mitchell- Since '94, had only lost to KOSTYA TSZYU in championship fights
Judah- Only loses are to PBF, Tszyu, Baldomir and Spinks. Not bad if you ask me
Plus PBF has beat some other decent fighters to get himself fights with these guys. Its called EARNING your shots. Guys like Mosley can no longer dodge Floyd since he's earned his respect.

As for Floyd saying he is the greatest ever, he says it based on his talent. He is no doubt among the most talented fighters ever. After he gets in the ring with Baldomir, DLH, Mosley and Spinks all within 12 months (give or take) he will no doubt be top 10 all time. How many fighters can move from 130 to 154 in 5/6 years like he will have done next year? Even if you don't like him, you have to respect the fact that he is a 4 division champ and is trying to set up fights with guys who will be hall of famers.
now that's something i could agree with he's trying to set up fights to be the best, once he's beat all those fighters i'll give it up to him, untill then i still say he's fought nothin but bums and fighters past thier prime. there would be alot more people that would like pbf if he'd just shut his mouth and be humble and not make statements that he's better then everyone. once he does that, or actually beats the best i would never doubt him again, but untill then i remain neutral.

Why shouldnt he, if you were in his position why wouldnt you proclaim yourself with every accolade you could? Boxing isnt a team sport, you have to promote yourself because nobody will do it for you. Your right, Floyd will likely never be what oscar is in popularity because he cant reach out to audiences who speak other languages, but somebody has to believe that hes the greatest and it might as well be himself. Thats how great people become great in the first place because they always bieleved that thats what they were. You may not like it, but i doubt youll ever be as good at anything skillwise as floyd is at boxing, the same goes for myself, therefore you cant pretend that arrogance isnt nessecary to be great.

Every single great person ive ever read about was no less than a ****head in some way shape or form, very few great people were humble lovable people, and thats hours of art history lectures, painting classes, us history etc etc. College is boring.

Mayweather's style isn't running. Spinks is a runner. Mayweather usually stands in front of most or in the center of the ring & counter punches. Peolple have this misconception that he fights like Corey Spinks.

There is a difference between confidence and arrogance. Saying that Oscar and Shane cannpt be great unless they fight him is a ridiculous statement. Like I said Oscar doesn't need Floyd, Floyd needs Oscar more to define his legacy. Oscar's legacy will not be defined if he were not to fight Floyd. It could add to it but it will not be defined by fighting Floyd, the same goes for Shane. the two of them have done more than enough to define there own careers, and if they were both not to fight him it wouldn't hurt there leagcies. People wouldn't like it but they both don't need him.

All of that stuff is just talk, and the fact that your talking about what floyd is talking about and discussing and debating it is the sole reason why hes saying that, because it creates intrest, love and hate, floyd doesnt really care. I played with Roy Williams Safety for the Dallas Cowboys at james logan high school in union city. He played quarterback/wide receiver/cornerback/safety. Roy was one of the most trash talking arrogant/confident people ive ever met in my life, and look at him now, a star at a position that doesnt breed stars.

But the thing is, the dallas cowboys are a team, boxing isnt a team, its a one man promotional blitz.

I guess we'll agree to disagree that those fighters I named are bums, but if you think those guys are bums then I'd love to know who you think is good.
