The first Latino team, the Cuban All-Stars, squared off against teams from the Negro Leagues in 1900 in an exhibition format. For the next 10 years, the trend continued, but by 1910, the Cuban All-Stars had become a permanent fixture in and around the Negro Leagues of the United States. During the next 25 years the Cuban All-Stars split into two squads, East and West.

The Cuban teams eventually evolved into what became the New York Cubans, a squad made up of predominately Latino players, in 1935. The elder Cepeda, the most celebrated player from Puerto Rico, was on the roster for the 1941 New York Cubans

Mexicans are a mixture of the Aztecs and other tribes of indians who inhabited Mexico when Spain and France "passed through", and the Caucasian Spaniards and French themselves who did the passing through. Remember, Mexican isn't a race, it's a nationality.

I'm not trying to start an argument, but being Mexican American, I don't want to be called Caucasian when I am not no offense, but I am proud of my ethnicity and want it to be recognized.

What you want has nothing to do with the reality of the situation. You are either Caucasian if your ancestry traces directly from Spanish and/or French origins, Mongoloid if your ancestry traces directly native, or a Caucasoid/Mongoloid mix if your ancestry is mixed to any degree.

You can want til you die, but it doesn't chanes the fact that neither Hispanic, Latino nor Mexican is a distinctive race. They are all wonderful and rich cultures, but not races.

You can wish til you're blue in the face, but your race will still likely be at least partly Caucasoid. Your heritage and culture are a seperate matter entirely.

Also, there is a big difference between a "technicality" and a hard fact. Learn the difference.
