I have had black puerto ricans swear to me they weren't black and I have had to laugh. Just like I know Mexicans that tell people they are Spanish. It seems alot of people are ashamed to be called Americans.

If you are not seen as an American, and counter some racism, being proud to be American is not going to happen. It all depends on where you grew up, where you work, your education, your friends and so on and so on.

What does that have to do with him being born on american soil, being raised on american soil, and representing america on the world stage? there is nothing more american than that.

Delahoya probably grew up like me. Learned spanish first, english second. Grew up with an ear for Mexican music and stomach for Mexican food. Being from l.a, he grew up with a ton of Mexican Pride. In other words, he grew up Mexican, with-in an American enviernment and basicly rasied with two cultures American and Mexican.

A mix between white/native indian. Because they come from mexico, those are the 2 domainte race mixtures of that country. Take native indian however you want.
