Ex: Somebody like Bo Jackson is considered this: When he was in high-school he was already over 200 pounds solid muscle...when he went to college, he was around 220 pounds and ran like a race-horse...when the college Coach wanted him to lift weights, Bo said "I don't lift"...the coach wanted him to, but Bo refused...it took some time, but the coach convinced Bo to just do the bench press so they could get an idea of how strong he was and if he needed any work...so Bo agree, lifted a vast amount, surprised everybody around him, and said "I'm done"...supposedly never lifted again till he turned pro, and not sure exactly when.

Bo said when he was younger he thought that lifting weights is something that "weak" people do, all he needed was to practice and warm-up by doing sprints...When he got injured he changed his mind about things because he also didn't stretch properly.

Jim Brown was another athlete that never lifted, at least not with the team...it doesn't mean he didn't workout in other ways, but he might have not with weights.

Foreman was also another and can name some more

This thread... man. I know Joe Blow's a great shag and all, but this is getting carried away and SERIOUSLY losing perspective.

I seriously doubt James Toney purposely took steroids. If anything he was trying to heal his injuries quickly and accidentally took something that had a banned chemical.

Oh yeah and I think we are getting a bit carried away with the heavyweight thing? How long would it take Calzaghe to pack on that much muscle? He looks like hes naturally a pretty thin guy.

Calzaghe like Hopkins can carry 200 pounds with no problem. In the past they have had to force their weight down. It is likely they would perform better they if they moved up to heavyweight. The current divison is weak so either Hopkins or Calzaghe can use their superior talent to outpoint virually all of the top ranked guys in the division. Wladimir Klitschko would likely be the biggest problem, but he too has his flaws which can be exploited.

I hope Calzaghe and Hopkins move up to heavyweight. They would prove to everybody that size is overrated.

He's more heavy-handed than his last two fights have given the impression, but I can't see him hurting or being able to take a punch from a heavyweight.
