IIRC, Leon Spinks was tending bar in some hole in the wall not too terribly long ago. Very few champions are successful after they retire, especially from the era of Ali through Holmes. I think Ali, Foreman and Holmes are the only HW champs of their era that were smart about their money. I think George is the richest of the lot, and Holmes isn't far behind.

I wouldn't doubt that Leon is now working as a Janitor. He hd severe drug problems after boxing and pissed away what he made. The piece I saw on him was when Corey was first coming to prominence, so it may have been a few years ago.
It kinda sucks that Michael is doing well and not helping Leon. My little brother is not doing so well, but he reaps the benefits of my money, and I have nowhere near what either of those 2 made.
