To be perfectly honest I think since Toney is a bigger name than Peter, and Toneys' American, the WBC is trying everthing they can to get an American fighter a championship. Now I know the WBC is based in South America, but still Toney is a bigger draw than Peter, and money is the prime motivator in this world. But if Toney goes along with Shilstone's program we might see the most impressive version of J-Lot(James "Lights Out" Toney") we have ever seen. That would make me happy because J-Lot is one of my favorite fighters, and seeing him in superb condition, and again fighting for a world championship would be alright with me.

      Once again:

The bigger question mark with the WBC is why they're allowing their title to be tied up for another six months allowing Oleg Maskeav to fight with the title on the line agaisnt that bum in Russia.

With that being allowed, Peter wouldn't be fighting Maskaev until at LEAST the spring.

So he'll be taking another fight, and it stands to reason it should be a rematch agaisnt Toney because that was one of the worst decisions of the year as seen by 100% of the press at the fight and 80% of fans and media everywhere.

Umm where were all of you when the WBC ordered Corrales to rematch Castillo and Taylor to face Wright after 2 bouts against Hopkins? I didn't hear any bitching and moaning then. I'm mad about all 3 cases, but at least they force good fights, even if it is the wrong way to do it.
Umm the first Castillo fight was a bit controversial with him spitting out the mouth piece while being floored 3 times.

JT was forced to fight the #1 contender which was Winky who else would he fight in that division?

The fact of the matter is that the HW division needs a HW champion that will rise beyond the rest. Why is Toney the #1 contender after steroid use and a draw to Rahman (which was really a loss) is beyond my comprehension. In the other hand, an undefeated Peter got a shot at the IBF fighting Klitschko after 24 bouts . He gave Klitschko a hell of a fight. To get another shot at a major belt he succesfully fought 3 more times (including toney) and won. It's just unfair to the Peter. While Toney moves up to HW and gets handed title shot after title shot.

Could you be a bigger hypocrite?

You play like the judges, right or wrong, are the be all end all, and then you turn around and write off the Draw in the Toney Rahman fight and call it a loss.

If that's a loss, then Toney beat Peter.

And you're knocking Toney for a loss that shoudln't have happened, and then touting Peter for losing to Klitschko.

              Here, take a big sip:

I like James Toney but I think he should just give it up, the mans physicaly breaking down and his skill will only take him so far. He faired well against the 25 year old motivated Sam Peters and should have gained the decision, but the fact of the matter is 'Lights Out' is 38 years old with too much mileage. I believe he only has a couple years left and should bow down gracefuly, not much to accomplish in two years at the rate he's been going.

My point was that Toney has done nothing in the HW division to prove his position in title shots. Peter in the other hand proved that he could compete in the Championship level by knocking Klitschko down and giving him a hell of a fight. And you guys keep bringing up that Toney won because 80% of the media thought Toney won. Well guess what, 90% of the media thought Rahman convincingly beat Toney.

The fact is the Peter vs. Toney fight was an eliminator bout to put the winning fighter in line for the WBC title. What kind of elimination bout is it if a guy is declared the winner and an immediate rematch is needed? That's like having a race for a gold medal but the person you wanted to win failed and you demand a another race until your guy wins. Why don't they just hand him a belt.

This is boxing! Potentially the most corrupt sport in all of the world. You need not ask question that question logic, simply because throughout history boxing has shown little or no logic. It doesn't even have an organized governing body, how the hell can any decisions made by flaoting governing bodies have any credibility. For God's sake the IBF is in the back pocket of Don King, and the WBC is well known for absurd actions. Why the **** do we have 4 world champions in the same division? Why the hell do we have 4 governing bodies for one sport? These problems will continue unless reputable pro and veterans band together to get once and for all one universal governing body and union of associated boxers. Until then, we the future pros and current fans will continue to see the ultimate regression of the former sport of kings.

Like I said earlier and you ignored: Blame the WBC for tying up their title for another six months while Maskaev takes a joke of a fight with the title on the line.

You're not making any sense. You're contradicting yourself with everything you say.

You're the one who dropped the Rahman fight saying it's a loss. I pointed out, that defeats your logic, because more people had Toney beating Peter.

And it was 100% of the press at ringside. There was no memeber of the press present at the fight that thought Peter won.

The bottom line is that the WBC title is tied up (becuase of the WBC) until the spring. Peter would be taking a fight anyway, and a fight with that much contraversy is a no brainer for a rematch.

You say Toney doesn't deserve anything but that Peter does for looking good (according to you) in a LOSING effort agaisnt Klitschko. Well then Toney looked pretty good in a "losing" effort agaisnt Peter.

You can't say anything without sounding like a hypocrite.

Especially with that giant lug in your avatar. That "Win" over Larry Donald, he sure earned that shot and 'convicing' win over Ruiz.

Give it a rest. Or at least find something legit to complain about.
