Losing only 3 rounds is more then enough to take titles away, I guess you and all the people that Hopkins winning were blinded by the last 3 rounds. This fight was not even close, that is if you score each round.Comment

Its true,in the first fight Taylor won lyk 7 or 8 rounds,Hopkins done more damage later on but when u lose that many rounds its 2 late, ppl seem 2 forget dis, they only remember Hopkins hitting him up near the end and not Taylor winning the 1st 8 roundsComment

You need to check your eyes man, this is where I have a big problem with the Hopkins supporters, the point is the first fight was not even close, Hopkins won only 3 rounds, Taylor won 7 rounds, 2 rounds were even and I'm being nice to give 2 rounds even.
Lets face it, if Hopkins didn't cry like a ***** after the first fight, no one would've even talked about that fight, Hopkins was the loved champion and his bitching still didn't help him in the polls.
If anything taylor is the media darling with his gold medal, and his attitude.
If you scored only 3 rounds for hopkins in the first fight, well your misunderstanding of boxing rules is not my problem.Comment

or some ppl are so crazy to think that only EFFECTIVE aggression is to be taken into consideration when scoring rounds... oh wait they just read the rules of the sportComment

Hopkins the loved champion... dont be ridiculous, for his accomplishments hopkins is one of the least loved champions in boxing history.
If anything taylor is the media darling with his gold medal, and his attitude.

Taylor was never the media darling, just he fights for HBO some idiots thinks he's the media darling, Taylor worked hard to get where he is now, that is if you know anything about Taylor, I guess you don't!Comment

How cant Taylor be in the P4P when he beat Hopkins twice,a guy dat had 19 title defences,a guy who no1 could touch and looked like he wouldent lose the belt, then draw with Winky Wright, a guy who is considered P4P #1,in a fight wich i had taylor winning by a point, when u beat Hopkins twice, controversial or not, then draw with Winky Wright,u are doing something extremely right, and remember,Taylor didnt have no easy fights,he went straight for the best fights 3 times without no break and his next fight is Ouma..thats a champions heart, how can u even diss Taylor when hes bringing us these fights and still pulling thru the winner
the fact that before that he fought Oscar (a much smaller man) and could not stop a fighter he had already stopped should tell you something on hopkins' ring age by the time he fought Taylor.Comment

hmm watching the eastman fight would have given you a good hint, that hopkins was ready to be beaten by someone who could be very active.

At the time he fought Taylor he was loved by many kids, Hopkins have many ball-washers now and lets not forget that.

I am really curious of what bull**** you can come up with to back up your ridiculous assertion.
Taylor IS the media darling, to prove that to your biased mind, just listen to the HBO crew during his fights.
As for hopkins being "loved", he may be loved now that he is 40+, he was robbed and retired (hopefully), but during his reign he was never even remotely near to De La Hoya or Tito in terms of popularity, he was always the bad guy, who answered in enigmatic ways to most interviews. He fights dirty, his style is exciting only for hardcore fans, that know enough about boxing to appreciate his technique (no special speed, no special power, not always coming forward, just a cagey tough fighter from philly with a big brain).Comment
